I bought a solar shower for camp and the thing weighs like 50 pounds when full. It just dawned on me that I have no idea how I am going to hang this heavy bag full of water to use it. I tried our big shepherds hook and it just fell over. Any ideas? (I am handy with tools, so I don't mind making something as long as it isn't time consuming)

I don't have an ez up, but they look pretty sturdy. I would try getting some leverage on the pole you use with a heavy guy rope, that may help keep it from tipping or leaning.
How did everyone solar showers fare? Ours was bone chilling cold the entire weekend and the water barely came out. Not worth it. We just washed off with jugs of water in the shower tent. I feel like the shower tent is worth it - to be able to get totally naked and clean up without any concern for modesty (yes, some of us have that at Roo). There's lots of little pockets and stuff that make it pretty convenient.
we had a solar shower and tent. while some of my friends didn't use it, i loved it. i never actually got completely naked in it, but i was able to wash my hair twice, always wash off my feet, my face and brush my teeth at night. i think i was thinking i would have to buy a shower, but i never did. i would take it again. if there was a way to hang up the shower without the tent that would be fine (and less work), but i really had no way of putting it on my car (which i did see).
Solar Shower was a dream. Mounted it on one of the load bars on top of the 4Runner. It has to be elevated pretty high to get good water flow, otherwise you'll have to shower on your knees. Filled it up before getting to Roo. Used water from the 5day cooler and the daily beer cooler to refill. Worked like a charm. Stayed fresh the entire time, at least 1 shower a day, sometimes more.

we had this: (on the right)
with one of these in the top: green canvas, twist head to turn water on or off,old school army issue left over from this guys: army days.... put one of these in the bottom for run off:
and youve got a camp shower...kind of cramped for the super modest who want to dress in it too,but you can keep your clothes and towel dry by putting them in the window pocket.
the warsh tub is a little bit of a pain in the ass to dump if more than one person is using the shower(no none wants to stand in someone elses body funk while they wash).after each use we woudl dump the tub infront of one of the vehicles.
My SunShower hose had a kink in it and it was difficult to use. However, I did get one really good use out of it on Saturday night. When everyone went to Jack Johnson, we went to the water station to wash up a bit and fill up the shower bag. I ended up just hanging the bag from the water faucet and washing my hair right there. It worked splendidly! At our site I had a friend hold it up for me while I washed off my feet. That sucked.
In 06 the pop-up camper next to us had one of the solar shower shelter, I think they also had a portable toilet in there also. It was quite a nice set up.

I had a solar shower, but I also had a privacy tent to hang it in. The only problem was the bag is so big you literally need to crouch down to get clean and to avoid it hitting you in the face. I don't think i'm going to bother with the solar shower bag this year, I might just use water jugs instead.
