Maryland troopers arrest seven headed to Bonnaroo festival
HAGERSTOWN, Md., Thursday, June 12 -- Maryland State Police, Hagerstown, in four separate traffic stops arrested seven people headed to the Bonnaroo music festival in Manchester, Tenn. Troopers on Wednesday night and early Thursday also seized a handgun, drugs (marijuana and LSD) and several hundred items of paraphernalia, police said.
All those arrested advised police they were going to the Bonnaroo: Aron J. Travis, 30, of West Glover, Vt.; Robert S. Kermidas, 20, of Castle Creek, N.Y.; Michael D. Warne, 20, of Binghamton, N.Y.; Christopher C. Loh, 20, of Ringoes, N.J.; Daniel J. Hatch, 20, of Doylestown, Pa.; William C. Tanner, 21, of Lunenburg, N.Y.; Mark P. Poirier, 20, of Lunenburg, N.Y.
OK so who speeds on their way to Bonnaroo with a car full of NO NO WORD!!!! and a unlicensed weapon. Man that is just criminal Darwinism at it's best.
Same sh!t, different day. Turn on an episode of Cops; at any given moment, you'll see some jackass with veritable mobile pharmacy in their car get pulled over for speeding, a cracked windshield, broken blinker, non-working head light, or license plate thats hanging by a single screw.
I read in the Manchester Times yesterday that State Troopers pulled over two guys in Lavergne on Wednesday the 11th and they found 637 hits of acid in thier car. Pulled over for speeding. Officer notices one of the guys trying to hide a plastic baggie under his leg. STUPID STUPID STUPID!!!!
Of course the article pointed out about three times that they were likely headed to bonnaroo. They didnt admit it though.
My thoughts exactly. I've always said, let people do what they want with drugs, as long as they aren't hurting anyone else. But a gun... totally pointless and stupid.

I'd like to echo these sentiments. I dunno, I guess I'm sort of a libertarian on that matter, but as long as you're not jeopardizing the welfare of others or preventing them from living their lives however they see fit, you should be able to do just about anything you so choose, no matter how quacking idiotic it may be. But the thought of someone bringing a gun to Bonnaroo... that's just really frightening.
