Ok here goes:
Dark Star Orchestra - loved them!
The Raconteurs - Great show, good mix of new and old stuff. I'm not sure if it was where we were standing but the sound was not great and kind of distorted.
Rilo Kiley - Another great show - I'm not a huge fan but I was pleasantly surprised.
Chris Rock - he killed Great act, very funny as always and he included the audience.
Metallica - Amazing show, have always wanted to see them live and they surpassed my expectations. They also seemed to be having a blast
MMJ - Wonderful as always, but then it rained enough that I left
Donovan Frankenreiter - Wonderful!! I am new to listening to him but loved his show.
Against Me! - my husband wanted to see them and they were ok but didn't really grab me.
Gogol Bodello - only saw part of it but as always an amazing show.
Cat Power - she has an amazing voice but it sent me to sleep - I napped during most of their show.....
BB King - what can I say? He is BB King and he rocked.
Jack Johnson - surprisingly good! I really loved his show.
Pearl Jam - by far the best show of the weekend for me. Great mix of songs and just an amazing performance by the band. I have been converted to a HUGE fan
Phil Lesh & Friends - didn't stay for much but what I saw was great.
Robert Randolph - he kicked ass and I danced my butt off - another amazing show.
Yonder Mountain String Band - A lot of fun and great music although I don't really like bluegrass much.
OAR - bleh they were ok......
Larry Campbell, Jackie Greene, Phil Lesh & Teresa Williams - I didn't see all of it but what I saw was great.
Broken Social Scene - was not familiar with their music but they were really good.
Death Cab - Way better than I was expecting! I really enjoyed their show.
Panic - as always, a great show - I am not really a fan but I stayed for a few songs.
Wow I just realized I saw a lot of stuff this weekend!! Great times

Am I cheating if I just use the webcasts I saw? ;D Eff it... I'll cheat anyways, just cause at times I felt like I was actually there... I missed most of the webcasts actually cause I was busy at work or otherwise not at a computer, but here goes what I remember checkin out:
Two Gallants - Unbelievable. I had never heard of them before this webcast and I just found myself bored at home so why not check it out. Best decision of my weekend I'd say! I now have their entire discography
Sigur Ros - *snores* Very visually pleasing stage set up, but man this was a snoozer. I think I can attribute that to being a webcast and not actually there though...
Death Cab for Cutie - I'd say I was an average fan before seeing this, but man that was a sweet show! It seemed like the audience was thrilled, which in turn thrilled the band. Awesome to see
Rogue Wave - Not my cup of tea... I turned it off shortly after looking at it.
Robert Randolph - Incredible! Very talented group with him and I loved every second of it
YMSB - Very good also... I loved the guys' sense of humor regarding Kanye as well as themselves. "We're gonna play a nice acoustic piece that's gonna make you think we're a nice low key band to hear on a Sunday afternoon... and then we're gonna have our way with you! Twice!!" love it! ;D
Against Me! - Not good in my opinion. Another one of those I just checked out cause there was nothing else to do... and they are really not my thing at all.
Iron & Wine - Very good show I thought. It was a very chilled show it seemed, but sounded very good. I would've loved to just laid down in the back and listened, perhaps with my eyes closed.

I'm back..yay
Reviews-
Raconteurs - Amazing MMJ - Ridulously Amazing and wet Gogol - Awesome Ben Folds - Great Set, energy and fun Jack Johnson - Entertaining, party like atmosphere and crowded Pearl Jam - Surreal..considering how long its taken me to see them Sigur Ros - You had to be there, music was like from another planet...lead singer may be an alien or part vampire. You felt like you were watching something that was unique and special. Kanye - Kanye Sucks Robert Randolph - Kept the party going, always a good time BSS - Fun (only stayed for half) Robert Plant and Krauss - Boring..my biggest dissapointment ...perhaps we were way to far away or i was way too tired Death Cab - Tight...energetic... nice way to end my 'roo
Sigur Ros - You had to be there, music was like from another planet...lead singer may be an alien or part vampire. You felt like you were watching something that was unique and special.
OK, let me preface by first saying that I didn't see anyone's entire show. But I did manage to float and catch a lot of acts. That said...
Back Door Slam - Great blues. Got the crowd REALLY into them. Adele - Tremendous. She's cool. Jose Gonzalez - Sweet... Tegan And Sara - Yuck. M.I.A. - After her technical difficulties, she owned that crowd. Lots of jumping and awesomeness. Willie Nelson - Fantastic. Watched about 5 or 6 songs. "I ain't no superman..." The Raconteurs - BEST SHOW OF THE ROO. Jack White was amazing. Chris Rock - Hysterical. True to form. Metallica - I could have heard them from Alabama. Loud. Lots of classics. My Morning Jacket - "Transplendent!" Damn.... Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings - Band good, SJ, eh..." Against Me! - SOLID. Great band. Great album. Cat Power - Smoove... Gogol Bordello - Amazing performance. They brought it hard. BB King - BB just bein BB. Levon Helm and the Ramble on the Road - Oh my god. A legend. One of the best shows. Pearl Jam - Good band, but I fell asleep....
I saw great shows--bb king, grand ole party, jack johnson, chris rock, dbt. However, Pearl Jam for me was the single greatest show i have ever seen. not only because i have been listening to them since 1991 and have never seen them but because they were amazing. I cANT explain it without you being there but they might be the best live band in the world. jAW dropping.....

I totally agree. I just had a huge grin on my face the whole show and kept thinking it couldn't get any better, but it kept getting better and better It was by far the highlight of my weekend.

MGMT - WAY better live than I was expecting. Enjoyed it a lot. Battles - dissapointing, started late and sounded sloppy...
Fiery Furnaces - WOW! unexpectedly great live. Reminded me of Deerhoof. Minus the Bear - tolerable, but went on for WAY too long. And their fans were extremely annoying. !!! - first show I was super-pumped for. Nic Offer was all over the place. Awesome. Rilo Kiley - two songs, sounded good. M.I.A. - saw the beginning. She sounded bored and the sound was WAY too loud. Apparently it was her last show, though. Chris Rock - hillarious! Metallica - Personal highlight. INSANE setlist. Superjam - meh. I left after three songs. MMJ - holy crap!
Soul Rebels - really nice way to start the day off. Sharon Jones - good, but thought her set was too long. Gogol Bordello - best band of the weekend. Simply nuts! B.B. King - what I heard sounded great ZPZ - see B.B. Levon Helm - really fun stuff. Laid down in the grass and chilled. Sigur Ros - another highlight. Svefn-G-Englar to open!!!
The Coup (sonic) - Boots Riley. 'nuff said. Abigail Washburn/Bela Fleck (sonic) - incredible. Somehow, this was the first time I'd ever heard Bela play... BSS (sonic) - hillarious and awesome. One of my favorite bands. Ladytron - translated surprisingly well live. Much better than I thought they would be. Aimee Mann - decent, but she played too long and made BSS start late. I fell asleep during her set, but in a good way. BSS - sounded really great from what I heard, I left during Cause=Time though Jake Shimabukuro - dude is a beast Derek Trucks/Susan Tedeschi - what a way to end the weekend! Derek is incredible!
My first Roo and it was really fun. Lots of good music:
What Made Milwaukee Famous - They were alright, wasn't really too impressed.
Back Door Slam - Great guitar player, fun blues/rock songs, plus they played a great Hendrix cover!
Grupo Fantasma - Had lots of energy and it looked like they enjoyed the music they were playing. Definitely a great live band.
The Sword - Was front row and they were easily the best Thursday night.
Drive-By Truckers - I just couldn't enjoy this show. A friend recommended I see them, but I left very disappointed.
Stephen Marley - I'm not much of a reggae fan, but he was good and I enjoyed the Bob Marley covers a lot.
The Raconteurs - Holy crap, they were fantastic! I'm a huge Raconteurs/White Stripes fan and they gave one of my favorite performances of the festival for sure.
Metallica - I'm a huge Metallica fan, but I can't honestly say that they were good. Idiotic, drunk fans made it hard to enjoy in the first place, but they didn't play anything new/exciting and almost just seemed like a tribute band. Hammett was surprisingly good (I've never seen him nail everything so well) but the rest of the band wasn't.
My Morning Jacket - I was wet, cold, and tired from standing, but this was still mindblowing. I stayed for the full 4 hours because it was just that good. One Big Holiday with Hammett was a huge surprise, the covers were great and they played all their best songs. Second best of the festival for me.
Two Gallants - Saw them before when they opened for Claypool and were just as good as the first time I saw them.
Mastodon - Disappointment of the festival. I was really excited for their set, but the sound was terrible and could barely hear the lead guitar and singing. They went off fifteen minutes early and it looked like the band was angry with each other.
B.B. King - Yea, he's old, but still fun to watch. Not very energetic, but I knew that before seeing him.
Jack Johnson - Surprisingly good. I'm not much a fan of his albums, but the show was really laid back and fun.
Pearl Jam - Unbelievable. Pearl Jam have always been one of my favorite bands, and I have been wanting to see them live for a long time. Eddie Vedder showed why he's the greatest front man in rock history. He talked politics, went into the crowd with alcohol, and just fired the crowd up. Matt Cameron held up the band with his amazing drumming, McCready played some fantastic solos, Gossard played great rhythm guitar and Ament held the bass parts steady. They were really passionate about their music, something I thought Metallica was lacking as a headliner. Best of the festival and the best I've ever seen.
The Lee Boys - Great Sunday music, and a great way to conclude (my) festival.
Comedians:
Leo Allen - Not bad, but nothing special with him.
Mike Birbiglia - My favorite comedian of the festival and second favorite period. Really funny and he seems to be a down to earth guy.
Janeane Garofalo - Horrible. Too honest to be funny, it almost just depressed me. I'm not sure how she got to be famous, but I hope to god it wasn't through her comedy, because she's the worst I've every heard.
Michelle Buteau - Please, next time just introduce the comics and leave the stage.
Brian Posehn - Hilarious. I've been a fan of him for a while, and he reassured how good he actually is.
Jim Norton - A funny comedian, best when talking about the crowd and making on the fly funny statements.
Chris Rock - Wasn't expecting much from his performance, but was pleasantly surprised. Any guy who can entertain 80,000 fans with just a microphone is good in my books. He had me laughing all through his set.

Thursday
MGMT - Was a good show and a fun way to open my first Roo experience. They sounded good live. Battles - They were OK was expecting more out of them. The Sword - Pretty good from what I saw. Only saw the last couple songs. Lez Zeppelin - Absolutely amazing set, my highlight of Thursday night and one of my top acts of the weekend.
Friday
Electric Apricot - Really funny movie and I really enjoyed it. It was Spinal Tap meets the Jam Band/Festival circut. Very well done. Minus The Bear - Stayed for half the set. They sounded good, I still like their recorded stuff better. I would see them again though. Stephen Marley - Saw the second half of his set and he was very good. Pulled out alot of his dads songs and he sounded amazing. Loved his set. The Raconteurs - Saw the second half of their set after i went back to the camp site to get some food. They sounded great and Jack White killed it. Slamdance Short Films - They were pretty entertaining. Willie Nelson - Saw the end of his set and he was good. Had to take the time to see the legend play for a little bit. Chris Rock - I was getting there right as he was starting and stayed for the entire set and he was very very funny. Metallica - Amazing set and they really surprised me. I was thinking about skipping this to rest up and I am really glad I didnt. They put on a great set and they had a blast up there. SuperJam - Very fun set. Started a little late, but I stayed for its entirety and it was a very good time. Tiesto - Stayed for the end of his act following SuperJam and it was a very good time.
Saturday
Live Earth Film Series - Another set of shorts and they were pretty well done. Gogol Bordello - One of the better sets of the weekend. They absolutely destroyed it. B.B King - Was very very good. The man truely is a legend and had great interaction with crowd. He put on a great show and I hope he continues to play for a long time. Jack Johnson - Very chilled and fun act. It was a perfect way to begin Saturday night. Pearl Jam - Amazing set! One of the best performances I have ever seen. Lupe Fiasco - Absolutely killed it. My personal favorite set of the weekend. He fed off of the crowd for his entire set. When the show was starting he said he would give it to us but we would have to give it back and both sides lived up to that. Was really hoping we could get an encore from him. 2 Hour Wait for Kanye - Was better then Kanye's set. Met alot of really fun people and we all just say down close to the stage and enjoyed the atmosphere. Kanye West - His performance(as in the actual music) sounded good. He did not live up to the expectations though. The set was to short, and it wasnt a glow in the dark since it was starting to get light by the time he took stage and the sun was out when he ended. I much rather would of just seen him perfom music and bring out some of the hip hip guests. Im mad he made me miss Talib and Chali 2na, I head they were both great.
Sunday
Jim Norton - Jim Norton was very good, I didnt like Michelle Buteau to much. O.A.R - They out on a good set, wasnt up to par with past performances Ive seen by them however. Robert Plant & Allison Krause - I enjoyed the performance. I thought it was good and a great way to end my first Roo.
Overall I had a lot of fun and ill definately be back again. I caught a few songs here and there from alot of other bands that I enjoyed. I just didnt have time to see everything I wanted to.
My Top 10 Acts: 1. Lupe Fiasco 2. Pearl Jam 3. Lez Zeppelin 4. Chris Rock 5. Gogol Bordello 6. Metallica 7. SuperJam 8. The Raconteurs 9. Stephen Marley 10. B.B. King

Superdrag, nice solid start to my 08 Roo experience. Fiery Furnaces, for me it was a place in the shade while I waited for other stuff. Crowd seemed to like it. Umphreys McGee - Had the crowd jamming which isn't easy to do that early in the day, with it that hot and humid. The Raconteurs - Rocked. But the sound was meh. I was up close for a while and thinking damn i'm getting old, can't handle teh loud like I used to, but even when I moved way back it sounded off. M.I.A. - super packed tent, her sound had even the whitest of the white boys moving. and then for something completely different, I wandered over to Willie Nelson. It was like the parents said, ok you kids stay at the M.I.A. tent while we watch Willie. Got to see Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain, in the rain. Chris Rock - seemed to be killing, but I was hearing it from VIP food tent. My favorite bit was why would Hillary want to be president and then have to work in the office her husband used to get bj's in. Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings - Great set but I think would have been better in a tent. Abigail Washburn & the Sparrow Quartet featuring Béla Fleck - I didn't get into the sound but still was blown away by some of the individual playing. Gogol Bordello - awesome set. Crowd really pumped. B.B. King - I wasn't expecting much, but it was much better than I thought. Seemed to go by really fast. You can tell he's played a big crowd like this before and knows how to handle it. Levon Helm and the Ramble on the Road - Better crowd than I expected, only caught part of the set but what I saw was great. Jack Johnson - Perfectly timed set. Nice and mellow at sunset before the big headliner. Huge crowd, everyone in a good groove. Jack screwed up a few times but it just seemed to be part of the laid back surfer thing so no one cared and loved him even more for it. Pearl Jam - Killer set. Vedder sounded bad to me at first but got stronger as the set went on, and it went on and on which was fine with me. Amazingly after Jack Johnson a lot of people left so there was plenty of space up front. The least crowded i've ever been for a headliner at a big festival. Sigur Ros - Perfect, what I saw of it. Just sending out waves of chillout all around their tent. Really there was people crashed out on all sides of the tent, for hundreds of feet, laying anywhere that wasn't muddy, enjoying the vibe. Talib Kweli - caught the beginning of this, then stupidly left thinking kanye would be on. Was killing early on. Funniest thing to me was some probably 50 year old white lady passed out in her lawn chair right outside the tent. I'm wondering if she's been there since Levon Helm. I could just see her waking up in the middle of this set. Ghostland Observatory - I was thinking Kanye had already started, better get over there, but Ghostland Observatory pulled me in. Wow, great set, again what I saw of it(20 minutes or so). Lasers were awesome, crowd going completely nuts. Will be looking for these guys in the future. Kanye - It was after 3am when I got there, only to find the crew still all over the stage setting stuff up. I could tell it would be a while. Woke up in my tent to golddigger, and thought, wtf it's daylight isn't it, how can you glow in the dark in the daylight, zzzzzzzzzzzz. Robert Randolph - Huge crowd. They packed the This tent in 06, why not give him a stage? Too crowded and since I saw them in 06 I walked down to Which Stage for Orchestra Baobab - Great set, small crowd. Seemed better suited for a tent. Crowd that was there loved them. Aimee Mann - Setup took forever, so her set was cut a little short. Sound started off awful, they got it alright except for certain keyboard notes and drums. She was great though. Solomon Burke - Incredible voice. I didn't get the whole show bit. Big big big fat guy sitting in a ridiculously oversized throne, having some hottie take off his tie, wipe the sweat off etc. Did he steal that from James Brown or the other way around, or they both stole from someone else. Again though, amazing voice. Robert Plant and Allison Krauss - Started off up close, but after a few songs moved back and laid on the ground with my lady. This set needed more Plant. The crowd was really into the stuff he was a part of, when it was just Allison Krauss it was a buzzkill. She has an amazing voice of course, but her stage presence was nonexistent. She seems like she's having to think about everything that's going on all the time, ok I should jump in here, he's doing that improv thing that I can't do at all, when should I do something, ok I should smile now, etc. Plant on the other hand is a front man, he knows how to effortlessly work a crowd, to play off the other musicians, when to take the lead, when to fall back etc. His voice was better than I expected, makes me ever hopeful to see Led Zepp on that stage someday.
Mastodon - Disappointment of the festival. I was really excited for their set, but the sound was terrible and could barely hear the lead guitar and singing. They went off fifteen minutes early and it looked like the band was angry with each other.
That's really weird - they sounded great via Blue Room. I'm guessing something was off with the mix coming through the stage speakers, because listening to it at home through my stereo they sounded amazing.
And Mastodon wasn't angry with each other. They're just always filled with fury. That's how good they are.
I was right by the soundboard and the sound was just not right. The bassdrum was getting lost in the mix and I couldn't hear the vocals from the guitar player. They were playing very well but something was wrong with the mix.

I'm trying my best to remember who all I saw, so much great music! But here it goes...
The Felice Brothers-I had never heard of them until 5 minutes before their set, but WOW, they exceded my expectations by a lot. Def. getting some of their music.
Vampire Weekend-I only stayed for 2 or 3 songs bc I was very tired, but sounded really good!
Drive By Truckers-Another band I had really never listened to very much, they had a very country/southern rock sound. The first two songs I thought sounded exactly alike, not very impressed.
State Radio(Sonic Stage performance)-Really good! We got very close for an intimate acoustic performance and then we met them afterwards at the signing tent. We got a CD autographed and now I'm a fan!
The Raconteurs-Jack White is my hero, so automatically I was stoked. The set blew my mind! I have seen The Stripes twice (once at last year's Roo), and I have never seen Jack that animated. When he fell over and was laying on top of his amp during the solo to Blue Veins....wow, just amazing. My fav show of the weekend.
Chris Rock-Not a band, but still awesome! He was hysterical and had us laughing the entire time.
Two Gallants-They were at That Tent, and during their set the levels were not good b/c everything sounded way too distorted where we were at. They had good energy and good tunes though so nothing against them.
Mason Jennings-Nice acoustic set, I had listened to him just a little bit before Roo, but he was still pretty good.
Jack Johnson-Amazing! I wasn't a huge Jack fan before the show but my girlfriend is, so I was hoping it would be somewhat entertaining, but wow he sure did silence any doubts I had! I will def. be listening to more Jack Johnson now. And Eddie Vedder came on stage to duet, really cool.
Pearl Jam-Eddie Vedder is such an amazing frontman. They played a lot of my favorite songs by them which was sweet, and the crowd was really into it.
Robert Randolph-Very energetic, lead the crowd in a Kanye sucks chant, and played a Bo Diddley cover w/ a Bo Diddley guitar, really cool.
OAR-I was getting burnt waiting for them, so I was already miserable. I though they were just ok, nothing really amazing. Def. not worth getting burnt for, but we were on the 2nd row so we waited.
Robert Plant/Allison Krause-We only saw 3 or 4 songs, but Allison has beautiful voice. I'm such a big Zep fan I was waiting the entire time for the Plant of old to come out, but it didn't. I didn't really like the Black Dog cover they did, but I think that's just the Jimmy Page fan in me coming out.
I believe that's about it. Hope they're good reviews!
Reminded me alot of Xavier Rudd and Keller Williams with the one man band thing and really impressed me with his command of the crowd.
Nomo
WOW! I was really excited to see these guys and they blew me away. If it wasn't for Sigur Ros, this would have been the best show for me for the weekend.
MGMT
Saw the last part of this set to get a good spot for Battles and liked what I heard.
Battles
Other than the tech difficulties that were beyond their control, they played great. Gained alot of respect for them for playing through the tech problems.
Friday
Steel Train
Heard them from the Arcade Discoteque and decided to check them out and liked it alot.
Stephen Marley
Really loved this show. Stephen sounds just like his dad and I enjoyed all of his show. Loved how he played alot of his dad's songs.
Les Claypool
Was told by a friend to go see his show and it wasn't great, but it was very interesting and I was glad to see him.
Willie Nelson
Was real excited to see a living legend so close up and was not dissapointed at all.
Chris Rock
Was great to see him in such a big setting and he was definetly hilarious.
Metallica
Was very skeptical about them since they really went downhill for me since high school when I loved them to death. St. Anger and a change in image will do that to some fans. However their show was real good and I enjoyed it alot. Especially the Creeping Death/For Whom The Bell Tolls opener.
My Morning Jacket
Enjoyed the portion of the show I did see which was about half of the show. If it weren't for the rain I would have stayed longer, but I could hear the rest of the show from my campsite and that was very cool.
Saturday
The Wood Brothers feat. John Medeski and Kenny Wolleson
Was real excited to see 2/3 of MMW and was not let down. A great way to start off the best day of Bonnaroo.
Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings
Great show. Alot of energy and great tunes. Was real happy to hear Mellomatic Mood by Binky Griptite before Sharon came on.
Ozomatli
Great show to sit down and relax to while I waited to enter the pit for B.B King.
B.B King
What can I say, its B.B King. I knew what to expect since I saw him before, but seeing him front row in the pit was so great and I enjoyed every second of it. B.B is a fantastic storyteller.
Sigur Ros
BEST SHOW AT BONNAROO THIS YEAR. Epic cannot describe how great this show was. To say Sigur Ros just blew my mind is an understatement and an insult to how truly great Sigur Ros was.
Ghostland Observatory
What a crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy laser show. And a good tunes to boot. Like the lead singer said to the crowd, those huge glowsticks came out of nowhere and were EVERYWHERE.
Sunday
The Lee Boys
Great way to start off the day with some good Sacred Steel Blues.
Robert Randolph
Was alright. Maybe it was where I was, but the tent didn't have great sound for him. He his better suited for a stage. But it was still great to see him
Robert Plant and Allison Krauss w/ T-Bone Burnett
Saw the first part of the show and loved it. Played a mean slowed down version of Black Dog that was very haunting.
MGMT - Good show. Was a fan of the album, so that helped. Others in my group were neutral to it.
Battles - One of the more polarizing shows of the weekend, I loved it, even despite some tech issues. Would go out of my way to see them again.
Vampire Weekend - Not good, but not bad. Not a fan of the music, so that had something to do with it, more than likely.
Comedian \???? - Meh, the guy who opened for Zach and Reggie was pretty uninteresting. Had a rather cliched style. Didn't like him.
Reggie Watts - Guy blew me away. Funny, funny stuff. This guy seriously has TONS of talent. His musical comedy shtick is so good, I'd have seen him as just a musical act, sans stand up.
Zach Galifianakis - One of my favorite comedians ever. Show was SOOOOOOOOO good. Great crowd interaction, good crowd for that matter, etc. I could go on and on, but if you know Zach G., more than likely you know of what his shows consist. Great. Gets a solid A from me.
Les Claypool - Was interested, but pretty let down. I guess his solo stuff is just not my bag.
Raconteurs - I liked them before, but I like them a bit less after seeing a little of this loud show.
Willie Nelson - Well, it would've been one of my favorite sets if it weren't for obnoxiously loud MIA bass and Raconteur reverb bleeding through his set. That really sucked, made it VERY hard to hear. MIA was definitely loudest (if you saw her show, as some friends did, you'd agree that her show was really way too loud and badly mixed.)
Chris Rock - Good. His show could've been messed around with to make it better, but it was good and funny as it was. I got many good chuckles and a few belly laughs out of it.
Metallica - Amazing. One of the best shows I've ever seen and one of the two best shows of the weekend.
Superjam - After this, Gogol Bordello's name is now synonymous with "disappointment," for me. If this were Gogol's set, I'd be fine. But this was a SUPERJAM??? No, I don't think so. Biggest disappointment of my whole Bonnaroo experience, previous years included.
My Morning Jacket - Wish I would've gone to this instead of Superjam, as this was waaaaaaaaaay better. Got to hear half the show from my camp, so I "saw" it. Some great, great stuff here.
BB King - What little bit I saw was great. Didn't really catch enough to form a solid opinion, however.
Zappa Plays Zappa - Yeah, this was great. Didn't catch all of it, but saw almost half. Will definitely be seeing this amazing group again, and in full next time.
Levon Helm - Even surpassed my expectations, which were sky high. So so good. One of my top 3 of the weekend.
Pearl Jam - Great show, I thought. I've heard mixed reviews, but I thought it was great. Eddie was really emotional and it made some performances absolutely amazing. However, Eddie was obviously messed up, and that was a very depressing thing to see.
Sigur Ros - Great. Everything about this show was about as good as a concert from a band like this could get. But the setting really stunk... literally. Right next to the portapotties.
Talib Kweli - Saw about 10 minutes or so of him and really enjoyed what I saw.
Ghostland Observatory - Wow. These guys may not carry the most musical depth of any band at Roo, but they put on a show on par with any of the weekend. Again, another group I'd gladly see at another point. Fun show, great dancing, nice people, and THE BEST LIGHT SHOW I'VE EVER SEEN!!!
Phil Lesh - Caught the encore, which was cool "wandering around Centeroo" music. Wish I could've seen more of his set, but I'm fully satisfied with my choices that night.
Orchestra Baobab - Great show... everyone agreed that it was really really good.
Ladytron - Sounded decent. This was mostly background music, as we took this time to let some of the girls rest in the shade.
Ammie Mann - Cool stuff. She's a very good live performer, even though her style of music isn't quite my bag.
Phil Lesh and Larry Campbell Acoustic - Very good show. I was unfamiliar with many of the songs, but they were very well performed and the audience loved the show.
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss - Breath taking. Can't really say it any more plainly. One of the best shows I've ever seen. "See You Soon."

Some of these are based on partial sets, but usually more than just a song or two.
Thursday
Matt Morris- Enjoyed it
Back Door Slam- Liked it, as did most other reviewers
MGMT- Was really psyched for this one and they didn't disappoint. Thursday's highlight for me.
Battles- Liked it, but watching from outside the tent wasn't the same experience as when I had previously seen them and was in the mix.
Vampire Weekend- Great show
Friday
Drive-By Truckers- Always good live.
Janeane Garofalo- Disappointing, but the opener was good
Les Claypool- Enjoyed
Raconteurs- Great Energy, great show
Rilo Kiley- Jenny Lewis is a doll, was surprised with how great they performed...sounded fantastic.
Chris Rock- Enjoyed it more than expected, very funny.
My Morning Jacket- Simply amazing, rain (and corn) added an element that makes this one unforgettable. Best show of Friday.
Saturday
Gogol Bordello- Crazy energy and excitement, lots of fun.
Avett Brothers- Great chill time, especially after Gogol.
Iron & Wine- see Avett Bros.
Jack Johnson- Better than expected, enjoyed the Ed cameo.
Pearl Jam- Didn't like it as much as most of you did. Thought Ed was pretty f'd up. He forgot a bunch of words and mostly stumbled when talking, though he nailed the high notes. The rest of the band was sick! Couldn't believe Hard to Imagine and WMA!!
Sigur Ros- As always, fantastic live show from them.
Ghostland Observatory- Holy shit these guys always kill!
Sunday
Robert Randolph- Was pretty far in the back, but didn't make any difference. Loved the Kanye stuff.
Rotary Downs- Wow, quite a surprise...though they seemed a bit squished on the Troo Music stage.
Plant and Krauss- Very cool
WSP- Always great, loved the RR appearance as well.

Back Door Slam - great show, amazing guitar work, hell of a way to start off the weekend
Lez Zeppelin - I could hear it very well from camp. The band was outstanding, I just couldn't seem to get past the female vocals. She did a good job, but it didn't seem to have the same power and feeling as the original.
Minus the Bear - good show, could've been longer though and they didn't play a couple songs I was looking forward to hearing
The Raconteurs - I'm a casual fan at best, but they rocked it something fierce
Willie Nelson - didn't like it, but I already knew I really wouldn't as I detest country music. It was however great to get a chance to see a living legend, and the crowd vibe was great.
My Morning Jacket - The first hour or so was absolutely amazing. Just wish the party favors/exhaustion didn't force me back to camp.
Against Me! - good show, great energy
Zappa Plays Zappa - only caught the last part of it. it was OK I suppose, probably would have been better if I were familiar with Frank Zappa's work
Jack Johnson - All around fun, happy good time. I can only tolerate his studio music so much, but it translates very well to the stage/festival.
Pearl Jam - best show of the fest, quacking amazing
Lupe Fiasco - If we weren't sitting way in the back, it would've been a great show. The vocals just didn't carry as far back with volume as the bass did, so it was kinda hard to hear.
Israel Vibration - OK from what we caught of the end of the set.
Ladytron - Wasn't planning on seeing them, but we had a nice spot under a shade tree after Israel Vibration. Surprisingly good show.
Jakob Dylan and the Gold Mountain Rebels - ZZZZZ..... should've stayed at Ladytron
Yonder Mountain String Band - Good show, really talented bunch of musicians. Kinda bummed we had to leave early, but the sun was just brutal.
Robert Plant & Allison Krauss - Beautiful, beautiful music. Battle of Evermore was mind-blowing.
Widespread Panic - Pretty good, would've helped if I'd been familiar with any of their music though.

nba finals game 4 - lot's of fun even though the kid in the kobe jersey wanted to fight me because the dbag next to me threw a bottle at his head
the sword - i only heard a few songs before hand but that they put on a very entertaining show
disco biscuits - i listened to them from my tent and it was good for me from there as i'm not much of a fan but they made me enjoy myself partying with 3 of my best friends
stephen marley - one of my top 5 shows of the weekend as i was taken by surprise from him and he totally killed it on stage
les claypool - didn't watch much of the show but he sounded good, i've just seen him to many times by himself to stick around
raconteurs - totally awesome i was very close as it was really easy to get in the front circle, also one of my favorite quotes from the weekend was from jack white when he said, "if you wanna hear jack white sing that yeah yeah yeah all you little girls have to wash that yeah yeah yeah!"
willie nelson - was just to quiet to stick around and watch
chris rock - was very funny "for a black man to be a dentist in my neighborhood he would have had to invent teeth"
metallica - was a waste of time although i enjoyed lars seemingly coming to tears as i think they realized no one cared the only good things was the pyro
mstrkrft - blew the roof off that tent. was one of my favorites of the weekend and danced like a white kid watching them
superjam - was fun kinda wierd but fun
mastodon - was good and i thought was fitting that some of the scariest music of the weekend started as the rain stopped it was as if they scared it away
zappa - one of my top 3 sets. best sing along ever as we were all screaming "ram it ram it ram it ram it up your poopshoot"
bb king - i caught the end and felt alot of emotion from the king of blues, i felt very moved watching him take off all of his jewelry and give it to the crowd and be taken away in a wheelchair
jack johnson - i watched from my tent as i had a perfect view and not much cross noise from anywhere else, i was very happy he played banana pancakes
pearl jam - i thought played a very odd setlist but i guess i just didn't care so much as i have seen them about 20 times. they were still good though
money mark - i thought was wicked funky and i had tons of fun dancing with my friend
phil lesh - didn't watch much but the boys seemed to be puttin it down
chromeo - was a big surprise as they gave it the old funk and grove i was looking for at the moment i went back to see them and again danced
lupe fiasco - was much better than the other times i saw him and was glad to see that i was proved wrong about lupe having a band with him
kweli - was the man as always "talk s#$t now"
kanye west - i had more fun waiting for him because they were playing great hip hop on the pa. i also liked watching the stage hands stare at each other like what do we do next? otherwise kanye was horrible compared to the other times i saw him, he just seemed tired and i think taking the stage by yourself is way to hard to pull off
sunday was a bumer as the crowd changed tons and i had kids trying to rob me and my friends tent so i had to watch and listen to yonder mountain and plant/krauss from my tent but i loved hearing war pigs and black dog
panic - was alot of fun to bad i missed robert randolph with them as i was watching game 5, i enjoyed the fireworks too

Back Door Slam - Nothing else can be said, they f'kin ruled Battles - I thought I would have enjoyed this a bit more. They just seemed repetitive, and i dipped out DSO - Pretty solid setlist. they give me a solid show every time, and do not disappoint
Umphrey's McGee - Great set. I think they were in the harder rock/metal mode, it showed in their set Les Claypool - One of the best sets of the weekend imo. Setlist was great, the cast of musicians. ON POINT!! Not to mention the Southbound tease Willie - The sound should have been LOUDER! MMJ - Caught the first 30 mins, then had to escort the ol lady back to the tent, laid there lost for about an hour and a half, then FINALLY got the notion to get the fark back to MMJ
Pearl Jam - Rocked it, great setlist IMO, eddie, the band, and the crowd was feeling it. SEA OF LIGHTERS! Phil Lesh and Friends - On Fire, heres the set list One More Saturday Nite Uncle John's Band Feel Like a Stranger I'm So Gone Bird Song Born Cross-Eyed New Speedway Boogie Loser Fire On The Mountain Death Dont Have No Mercy Dark Star-> Unbroken Chain -> Stella Blue -> Dark Star Sugaree ------------- Truckin'
they were going to play for two more hours!!! they got bulled. Not going to say much more about it, except Feel like a Stranger !~!! Ghostland Observatory - Lazers!!!
Israel Vibration - Missed you guys. damnit!!! Yonder - Great stuff, first yonder show Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Great stuff, the covers and how they set up their set was pretty sweet. Some zep, some krauss, some plant, then their stuff. Not to mention the little bit in the end Robert saying "see you all soon" ??? Acoustic Phil, Jackie, Larry and Teresa - Panic - Ruled! Jimmy was ripping it up, and john didnt sound too wasted
