without a doubt I love the Coco Bongos frozen drinks...those are a life saver!!! $3 refills...I saved my cup for next year(if I can convince my wife to let me go again ;D )

The lemon daiquiris were soooooo refreshing, but those cups made me feel like a tourist on a cruise ship!
Prater's BBQ needs more love! Not only delicious but also one of the best deals in the gate - $4 sandwich and $2 sweet tea.
Also love the Chicken Fingers Basket at the vendor near the VIP seating. They are in that spot every year. It's not processed chicken tenders either, you get 3 huge breast pieces. I splurge once a Roo on their awesome fingers & fries basket, which I can never finish.
Spicy Pie is just a staple - gotta have it at least once. I'm bummed I didn't get to try the NOLA guys...I saw their booth after I had just eaten spicy pie and never made it back!

I could have gotten a refill?? i didnt know that..
I looked long and hard for the $1 garlic grilled cheese, but to no avail. By far the best food I had all weekend was the pesto mozzadilla and frozen lemonade. Best lunch ever! I've gotta learn how to make those at home.

Were the coco bongo frozen drinks like real fruit smoothies, or were they more sugary like an actual frozen alcoholic drink would be?
Just curious... that refill thing would probably be a better deal for next year since I drank about 2 smoothies a day at $5 each... i mean to try it and never did... it would also have worked well since I insist on walking into centeroo every morning to use the just-cleaned portopotties and it's right there ;D
I almost got a Coco Bongo drink but then got pizza instead. I actually only bought food thrice - $1 garlic grilled cheese, Spicy Pie (both totally yummm & worth it) and a chicken samosa (if that's what they're called...) with a ton of sweet potato fries (could have done without the fries, not awesome enough for $5). And I didn't buy a single beverage there either. I'm really glad we came uber prepared this year, its more economical. Last year I wasted a bunch of money on overpriced food & beverages.
Gator Bites by a mile. They were $15 at Phat Daddy's and worth every penny. I was gutted when I went there on Sunday to get my second helping of the weekend and they were sold out. However, I did get a greek plate that would have fed 3-4 people for $5 at the International booth since they were closing up shop. Ate the whole thing I was HUNGRY.
I tried alligator at Phat Daddy's as well, and I was quite surprised by how good it was. I was mostly drawn to it out of sheer curiosity (and just to be able to say I'd eaten alligator), but I quite enjoyed it, actually.
The Acai bowls first thing in the morning rock and were great hangover cures! Didn't have the Pesto Mozzadilla this year, but those are damn tasty. Pizza and arepas !!
Not exactly a 'food,' per se, but the coffee at the main coffee shop in centeroo was PHENOMENAL!! I've drank my fair share of java, but this knocked my socks off.
It literally brought me back to life after the M.I.A. show...

Overall the best thing I had was the Ben and Jerry Ice Cream pop. It tasted like it was supposed to. I tried the Pina Colado and it was a weak one, Shishkabob tasted ok, but a bit tough, The Arepas wasn't bad, just a bit heavy. My biggest disappointment was the Gyro which actually turned into a burrito on a pita (they were out of gyro, but graciously took my $10). Alas, This was no Chipotle burrito.
Next year will try all the things everyone mentioned above.....
I didn't eat inside the entire festival. I was in Camp lando calrissian less than a 2 min walk from back gate I was at camp. That saved me a ton of cash. I spent 200buck less than I expected by not buying food or drink inside.
and i thought bonnaroo had cheap food?? i definitely did not find any cheap food or drinks...kinda disappointed. i didn't see dollar grilled cheese anywhere

last year you couldn't walk 2 feet with out tripping over a $1 grilled cheese stand....I'm sure they were there this year but I never found them I actually got served the worst grilled cheese ever this year at Bonnaroo...the girl didn't speak english and I'm pretty sure it was her first time ever making grilled cheese...absolutely terrible, no seasoning, cold, not even toasted...but she tried, and it was 5 a.m. so I didn't complain.

Garlic Grilled Cheese by far..always the best.
Oh, it was in Shakedown. Booth across the path from where they serve smoothies and blast reggae. The company that makes it is called Bearly Edible out of Asheville, NC.
