Does anybody have any ideas for trying to purchase VIP tickets when you and the second person both planned on using a credit card? The issue lies in the fact that I doubt either of us will have our 50% of the price in disposable cash in the near future and would rather not have to bear the pain of taking the whole hit and waiting for the other person to pay us back. I think we may be sort of f'd here, unless I use one of those "convenience checks" tied to my credit card -- but also attached to a brutal rate.

You're getting at having one person cover the nut and the other person handle the other expenses, right? Really good idea, but I can't imagine how one of our expenses will hit $600.
Edit: I just saw this one travel package for a single person VIP & Airport Shuttle, that's priced at $550?! ??? I guess there's no vehicle pass involved, so that's the difference. Still though, if someone is going to be flying in and bypassing a car, it really would be the way to go!

Maybe even a partial balance transfer to the other card, getting a better rate than conv checks or cash advances. Also sometimes you can get an introductory rate on the conv checks, as well.

Do you know how difficult would it be to transfer $600 in debt from one card in one person's name onto another card in a second person's name? I've never tried it, so I can't really say I have any idea...
Usually the online site for the card will have a balance transfer option that just asks amount and card number. You could always call the bank as well to see.

To make it stupidly simple, the card I was going to use is a PayPal MasterCard! So when my buddy buys the tickets tomorrow, I can just send him the money over PayPal. Thanks for starting the train of thought, man!

Ya know, that "upgrade" thing caught my eye, but then when I read over it, they made it sound like it included the actual VIP ticket. Good catch on that, bos!
Could you do the payment plan? One person makes the first payment and the other makes the second? That's if they offer the payment plan on VIP tickets, which they may not.

No payment plan on VIP, which didn't make sense at first, but now it does. The whole concept of VIP being a much smaller, more spacious area with lots of amenities kind of goes out the window when everyone can afford it with the payment plan. It would sell out instantaneously.
