I really don't think its the "rap" part as much as Kanye is just a drama queen who needs to get his act together. Maybe they should just look into the artists a little more, or at least attend a concert of theirs before offering a headline spot?

I reeaalllly hope that Superfly doesn't think the answer to this problem is to just remove the entire genre. That would be more tragic than booking Kanye in the first place, I think
my bad.. how about no MTV headliners at the roo?? I definately picked the wrong word.. but the e-mail address stands.. the guy who will get those e-mails knows whats going on.. make sure you send him at least one e-mail.

Right on, man. You get Karma from me for this one. The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is about diversity and appreciation and respect for the world around us and to a multi-cultural society.
It's hard to say who is really to blame for Kanye's late start. Pearl Jam's hour late finish wouldn't have made a difference in Kanye's late start, but it's possible that 45 minutes late wouldn't have been so much of a blow to the 'Roo faithful as 1 hour and 45 minutes.
It's possible that Superfly underestimated how long it would take to take down Pearl Jam's set in order to set up Kanye's set. It's also possible that Kanye himself delayed the stage set-up by arrogant nitpicking. It's also possible that Kanye too was tired because the dialogue of his show was weak and without energy and his performance showed some of the same.
Regardless of who is to blame, you are right that 'Roo should not remove an entire genre because of the gaffs in a performance because there are some really talented rap artists out there.
