So this year was my first ROO! I learned a lot from this board and I learned even more from going to ROO.
Some pointers for people planning next year:
Buy dry ice. We paid a little over $20 for 30 lbs of this stuff at Tennessee Valley Ice Co. The three bags filled the bottom of our 5 day cooler and kept our food/beer/water extremely cold until SUNDAY night. We did not buy a single bag of ice the entire trip.
Do not bring more then you will need. We went beer crazy at walmart and bought about 50 too many beers. I would say that 30 beers per person is all you will need. I bought one beer inside centeroo, the rest we brought.
Plan out meals and snacks. I brought a duffel bag full of food which I hardly touched. bring less than you think you need, there is food for sale.
Freeze water. about 3 days before begin to freeze your water. fill a 5 day cooler with frozen water and food. have a second cooler with some frozen water and some room. Buy dry ice in tennessee and also buy beer in tennessee. fill up the cooler and take some water out to drink on the line. If the line on I-24 is ridic (like it was this year) you are better off going past it and hoping on BB.
I hope this helps and I will bump this as the next roo gets closer.
