hey, so there was a few stands around bonnaroo with "blended fruit", did anyone have it?
i had the strawberry one and i thought it was delicious, is there any chance anyone knows how to make it, or what company set up the stands or anything? thanks
I didn't have any blended fruit, but was it like a smoothie? If so, they're very easy to make. You just take whatever fruit you want, some heavy cream, and maybe some sugar, and throw it all in the blender. Hope this helps.

I had the strawberry one on Sunday - I just about wanted to kiss the guy that made it, it was so good. Exactly what I was looking for in my hot, tired ass state.....

I really liked Sobe's Bike Blender. They were getting people to pedal it and make batches of fruit smoothies. I wanted to try it but was too shy. Still it was an awesome concept. The blender was on the back behind the seat and was somehow hooked up to the bike chain...the faster you pedaled the more it blended...pretty awesome! I must have drank about 500 of those little Sobe samples over the course of the weekend!
well, the thing is its not exactly a smoothie. it was similar to one but to me at least it tasted different than any smoothie id ever had, and i wish i had looked at how they made it

Wow, I knew I shouldve gotten the berry. I had the Pina Colada. It was basically a watery banana with little coconut and less pineapple. Not worth the 6 bucks
That was really great. I wish I knew exactly how to make it, but I do know that Dannon (i believe?) yogurt has a great recipe for smoothies. Use the vanilla yogurt, fruit, orange juice, and ice. Healthy too!
was it coco bongos? They were by the what stage and also had a booth by that tent i believe.... Had a jamaican flag flying and several other flags. Had the tall carnival type cup? If it was that booth then those guys are from my hometown. I got those free all weekend. They were also at all good and are trying to get on some other festivals.
heavy cream/sugar is too much for me... try it this way:
frozen fruit (I usually get mixed berries... too expensive to use fresh fruit in smoothies, i think), OJ, yogurt or milk (frozen yogurt works too/soy milk, or ice cream if you're feeling daring), fresh banana, blend and enjoy!
I thought the bonnaroo smoothies were so so. too much ice, not enough of the good stuff.
there's actually no milk or cream in the "smoothies". they are just what they are called, "blended fruit". They just put in frozen fruit and ice to make them. I'm extremely lactose intolerant so I asked how they are made/what they were made with and then had about 10 over the weekend!
Oh my gosh, those were so good!! The refills were like between $3-$4. It was hard to keep hold of the plastic thingy but the price was so worth it! I added some captain and it was on!
I actually had my drink refilled at the Ben Folds show by an awesome stranger with his own concoction- so it really did just keep giving!
