So I cruised up to the What Made Milwaukee Famous show right as they start and I decided to hang back for this show so I was near the This Tent sign and during the first song of the first show I and other people around me start to notice this guy slowly start to flip out on something, he first pulls everything out of his pockets and throws it down on the ground in a fit rage. Then he starts to grab things around him and throw it. Within 30 seconds the dude is stripping naked running around. After about a minute or so he passes out face down completely naked in the grass near a vendor stand. Within 3 minutes about 6 EMT golf carts show up and within 5 minutes or so they have him strapped in the back of one with a oxygen mask on him and an IV bag. As I was chatting away with some people next to me who were watching it unfold as I did we could only think that this guy didn't even make it through the first song of the first show. However the one thing I love bonnaroo about is the attitude of the festival is this man needs help not punishment, anywhere in the real world you go the only reaction to this situation is this man needs punishment and not help when at bonnaroo the only reaction is this man needs help. I guess the moral of the story is know your limits when you decide to ingest certain things into your body or else you might miss out on the first song of the first show.
I saw some of that incident, but apparently not its conclusion. I was just passing through, taking some newbies on a Centeroo tour when that went down. Some introduction...
I think it's really sad how so many people think they need to eat all the corn they can the minute they get there. Pace yourselves, people - you've got a long weekend ahead. I hope that dude's okay, though.

Word. I hope the guy got back on his feet and got to enjoy some music after he recovered. Jack, karma (when I can) for the omnomnomnom link! I had more than one belly laugh from that site.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

We can hope! But these good 'ole boy coppers out where we live wouldn't let a display like that go without some kind of consequence. I'd be surprised otherwise.

ilovefestys, were you the guy wearing the staff shirt? Me and my brother were there, laying on the ground in front of the stage sign having this very same conversation with a guy in a staff shirt.
