My friend Megan and I camped next to a cool crew from Michigan (maybe Lansing area?). I remember one guy named Chad. He chatted with us a bit. One of the best things I heard all weekend came from their camp on the first day. One guy was relating a story about buying spotted dick at the grocery store when another one exclaimed "Dude, is that a plum?!" I was trying to nap, but they kept making me laugh!
I always wonder if I'll ever see any of the people we camped around again. I'm curious to know what the odds are of camping near them again. They were cool, chill people.
Funny you should say that. I camped near a group of people in 07 one from Canada, a few from ATL and one from somewhere. We hung out with them whenever we were at our tent. Well one of the girls there just so happened to be in the same area I was camped at in 08. Was very strange but cool.

We had some really great neighbors. We got into camp (I think it was Wed night) and right away noticed our neighbors struggling with their shade tent so I ran over to give them a hand, and then they did the same for us. There was also a group of Canadians we made friends with at Walmart parking lot who joined us for breakfast and dinners. We would BBq and just pass the food out to the people around us. Our Neighbors ended up saving us by hooking up one of our tarps as a shade tent. They were really cool.
In 2007 my crew met some really awesome kids from NYC...they came over, hung out, ate with us and went to some shows. We all kept in touch post-Farm, and this past year we met up the morning of 'Roo and caravaned in together so we could make an awesome NC/NYC campsite. I now consider them all to be really good friends, and we're planning on doing the same thing this summer!

We had a couple great neighbors that we spent time with around camp. The greatest thing was that they took my son under their wings and dragged him off to a few shows. He was 16 at the time, they were 18 and 21 from south Florida. Then there was Skip from Asheville across the way from us who provided the 'muscle' to get to great spots. Front rail for BB King and Jack Johnson, so it made a great experience for him. We had a great time last year. This year we hope to be camping with a few people from Inforoo.
We had awesome neighbors last year too. A couple dudes, Mike and Jay, from the Cleveland area who knew how to cook up one hell of a mean meal.
Before we all left, we exchanged contact info and have stayed in touch ever since. This year, we plan on meeting up with them for the Wal-Mart party on Wednesday and setting up camp together.

Our neighbors our first year were great! We still keep in touch with them thru their band's myspace. Check out The Shenanigans. They are a super cool bunch of guys from Canada (Toronto). We hung out with them a lot and traded beers. They said that American beer is outrageously priced in Canada.
Last year the neighbors to our left were awesome. They were an older couple and the wife's sister from Chattanooga, TN. Very cool folks, we shared a beverage and conversation. They folks in the huge RV that was in front of us surprized me one morning. I got up early and set up outside the camper to shave my legs and I hear a thunderous voice from above say, "That's my kinda hippie chick." That nearly scared the poo out of me. The folks to the side of us (a group of 5ish) never spoke. I tried to smile and say hi but they put up tarps on their aunning (sp) on all sides. Guess they wanted privacy. Overall we've met some great people while camping.

Oh yah! We also met up with some folks from the Roo myspace page (Troy, Greg and Gary). We met at walmart and partied and met up on the farm quite a few times as well. We've stayed in touch with all of these guys too. We met up with Troy at the MMJ show in Nashville and met Greg, Gary and some of their friends in Louisville for the MMJ show the next night.

This goes out to our young neighbors two of whom were classicle musicians from a Georgia private high school Dan whom ended up in RS covering bonnaroo he's the one sleeping in front of the garbage can him and his buddy showed up with a car , tickets , and money . Then the boy's from Maine they at least showed up with a tent . We say BONNAROOOOO!!!!! Tim and Arlene hope to see you this year .
we had the greatest neighbors and plan to hook up this year so we can complete the Chateaude la bonnaroo...Mike and his girl Megan from Colorado brought a pickup with a canopy frame built out of 2x4's with a matress in the bed of the pickup and when they got there the stapled tarps and had a bedroom..
There buddys from the band Blue Skye Traffic..nashvegas implants brought the band van...Justin and Steve-o and later Chris and Brent to add to the truck...
then me and my crew with the super tarps and pop-ups and next to us Sarah-roo...then Joe and swampy-Josh from somewhere in tent city found us and spent most of the weekend with us..
They all came back to Tennessee to float our beautiful Elk River and camp and thus started the annual "Bonna-Reunion"! I all those crazy hippies! I gotta find and post that pic we took after about 7 hours on the river in kayaks and canoes...what a "TRIP"!
We had these neighbors from Southern Louisiana, a couple with a nice strong accent. They were kinda quiet at first, kept to themselves and all. They finally opened up when I gave them a small brick of something brownish. They were cool though. The dude cooked all kinds of stuff on top of his car in the sun. thought that was funny.
