Just got our pictures back from Roo, and have a pic of our neighbors! We were in Tent only by the coors light flag (kinda).
Anyone else have kick ass people camping next to them??
Mike and Jason from New Jersey, cool dudes. They came over right away, said what's up. They gave us the skinny on Shakedown, Mike had plenty of corn to share. Good Times

I know I did; Matt, Peter and Anthony, from Minnesota (plus some others, but I can't remember their names ). They were really cool folks, and I so wish I'd gotten their e-mail addresses before I left. Oh well... such is life.
We had great neighbors!! They're thinking about road tripping to Chicago so we can all hang out again! They weren't even our "next door" neighbors... I saw them across the way with a car-powered air mattress pump so I went and asked if we could use it, and the rest is history. Boys and girls, sharing is a great way to make friends!

We had a great time with our neighbors. My son spent much of Saturday and Sunday with two young ladies - 18 and 21 from south Florida - he is 16. They were in the front section for Chris Rock, Front Row for BB King and very close for Jack Johnson. Too bad they did not see the warning to tuck the ground cloth under the tent. They go flooded out really bad and spent two+ nights in the car sleeping.
He was smitten. To Skip - the renegade fireworks launcher, it was great.
Those Inforoo people I met, it was wonderful. I'll see if we can join you all next year. Who knows, I may be living closer to Roo by then. I am already trying to figure out how/what to bring to improve the experience. I am thinking about some sort of geodesic structure that would be constructed to provide a central gathering point.
Something tells me models will be required. There was a large structure near the VIP dining hall that was a start. There is a company called ShelterSystems that has some cool structures - used mainly at Burning Man.

we had great neighbors...partyed with them a few times over the weekend...chealsey, nick, brandon, bob and a few others...from iowa...amazing people!!!
There's no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard. No song that I could sing. But I can try for your heart Our dreams, and they are made out of real things Like a, shoebox of photographs With sepiatone loving Love is the answer
A little feeling in my gut that I get of late when I think about these cats running the world with hate
Our neighbor Jason from Atlanta was a cool guy. His friends were in VIP and he just camped in tent only. He was a good neighbor, offered us coffee and corn when I couldn't find any.

The Coors Light flag was my landmark! it was "across the street" from us in Tent-only.
Our neighbors, Riley and Natalie, were pretty cool-- they were from Knoxville & we're from Nashville so there was plenty to talk about. (Our other neighbors, not so cool... they peed on Riley and Natalie's tent on Friday night then got mean when confronted about it-- immediately after it happened might I add. I wish they had been cool though; they had a really sweeeeet set-up)
We had some cool neighbors from Canada in VIP. An older guy with his daughter, (I think) and her friend and another guy, (I think Mike was his name...I'm terrible with names!) who ended up having to borrow a sad little pup-tent from a friend. Any who, cool neighbors - Hello if you're on here!

I think most of our neighbors went out of their way to be friendly towards others. I heard a lot of "Good morning." everyday. I think that helped when it came to the theft factor. No one around us had anything happen or missing, we all kinda knew who was around. It was nice to be around like minded people, instead of people trying to be out for themselves.

When we were setting up camp, three young men from Wisconsin had already put up their gear and had no shade I immediately gathered an extra tarp from someone in our crew (there were 9 of us) and we hooked them up. It didn’t matter after that because they hung out with us most of the time. I miss you Adam-son, Nick, and Matt! They may come down to see us during a street festival here...it is in the works. There were also a few others that came by to hang with us...Turtle, and the girl he was with. I could never remember her name...good people from KY. This was my second roo...and my BEST one yet!

We were by ballon three, right on the corner of third avenue and east first, there was a sign that said "fiesta girls" under a orange ez-up... did anyone meet the ferris wheel pimp??
i had some pretty cool neighbors...i forget where they were from and their names...i do know that one of the girls was named "shoe" (or any other way you can spell that and still get the same sound)...we had corn every morn, and i actually saw grupo fastasma with them...i actually hung out with them more than my campmates, but i guess thats ok because i drove with three strangers and none of us knew each other prior to the trip...good times

I always wonder if I'll ever see any of the people we camped around again. I'm curious to know what the odds are of camping near them again. They were cool, chill people.
Well....you can always bug them to join Inforoo and then organize a camp....that's what we did with the VIP taj mah'tarp camp and had several people that had camped together last year camping together again THIS year ...actually the whole camp was pretty much small groups that were togehter last year that were all 'Roosters that ALL got together this year and organized plus some of us that were going VIP for the first time....
You don't have to ALL do just Camp InfoRoo in Tent Only or the big Taj Mah'Tarp in VIP....you can always stay in touch with your camp mates from this year and plan to camp together next year....lots do! And it makes it SOOO much more fun to have a Really Cool shared camping space....with cool peeps you already know....you'd be surprised at how many more notches it raises the whole experience! ;D Not to mention if you plan it in advance how much STUFF you can cut down on bringing cause you won't have to necessarily bring 2 or 3 of EVERYTHING.....
Our neighbors this year were really cool. They were a group of couch surfers and it was about 6 of them staying in the camper next to us. All I remember is that one was from France, one was from...Conneticut, and one was from New York... They were really nice guys and told me that if I was ever looking to couch surf that I should definitely look them up. They also offered for me to hang out with them, but never got the chance.

We were way out in BFE and had some pretty cool neighbors. I'll never forget the Flabongo--a pink flamingo made into a beer bong. They also came over to wish us a good morning every day and offered us some of their fresh made breakfast.

Awesome.
I had completely forgotten about this until you brought it up the other night. The Flabongo was awesome. That whole group was super nice. I can't remember any of the names, but they were chatting it up from the second we got out of the car. They were really excited when they found out that most of our group were rookies and told us we were in for a great time and that they were 'roo vets. Super nice guys.
we had a couple of pretty cool guys from Chicago beside us. We got to know them a little seeing as how we had some shade and they didn't. Can't remember their names for the life of me.
This was our camp. Anyone near by? We were pretty close to the road and the Coors flag in tent-only
