Headed back "home" from Kanye, went to the porta potties at Camp Dr. Rumack (the ones on the lane between camping and RV) and heading back up the hill I see three peeps - a skinny dude with sandy colored dredlocks, a black chick and a guy with dark hair run across the road with a distant neighbor's Jolly Roger flag (a double flag on a bendy metal pole), get between two camp sites, break the pole to get the flag and dash off. the girl had a HANDFUL of pirate flags on her. Would have loved to tackle them, but it was super quiet, all were asleep, and I am a short little pregnant chick so I just stood there with my mouth open.
They seemed to have a good hit right then around 5-6am when all of Roo is asleep or heading to bed. Jerkheads.
There are no fishhooks in pirate flags at Bonnaroo.
Actually, ours may have had a fishhook or two, IDK, I didn't ask... but the flagpole was a fishing pole, and the flag says Fish or Cut Bait ... and no one stole it

I explained to our neighbors that their skull and crossbones would be stolen if flown...they seemed offended, like it was a threat from me, then I explained the phenomenon...I think they just opted to not fly it....our american/peace flag marked our spots pretty good
Hmmmmm You know it would be fun to make a booby trapped flag. Not with fishhooks but maybe one with some kind of indelible ink all over it. Then I would know the the thief. Or maybe a hidden counterweight that will come and smack them on the back and leave a big mark.

My hooks have barbs. They don't come out easy. A few strategically placed VMC trables 6/0 size and your thief is not going to be able to trash anything without hurting themself even further. Not mention that they will be stuck to the flack pole.
