The FUSE shows were really well done. I really thought they coulda screwed it up but I'd like to see them next year now. I mean.......I was expecting them showing only a few bands that I may not have liked but they had 2 songs each for Raconteurs and MMJ's epic set. They even had a Claypool, Talib Kweli, and Ben Folds song. Good idea for them to feature two songs from the headliners as well.
i am pissed, i just caught the end of the last one! but it was pearl jam's better man and i have to be honest, i kinda teared up! it was so beautiful. quack i miss the roo.
I thought all of the Fuse coverage really sucked. I really tried to watch it, but the combination of the highly annoying guy who hosted them + way too short interest segments + interviews with interesting people where they either got cut off or were forced into a banter of "Woo...cool, Bonnaroo" + typical performances from typical bands (they played the two exact same MMJ performances that MMJ performed on SNL the week before) = I could not bear to watch them. Plus, there were a metric $hit ton of commercials and they all made me dumber...even fast forwarding them.
I weep for the future of Bonnaroo if this is the coverage they are getting. The way I felt they sold it was as a jock rock invasion of patchoulli butt hippie world. It was lame.
The Blue Room stuff was excellently done though. Made me a bit happy, even though I couldn't go.

It could be that the bands signed off on the songs they wanted to be played on Fuse. MMJ is using those as singles sort of.......same way with Raconteurs "Salute your Solution".
I thought it was really cool that they broadcasted ANYTHING from bonnaroo. The musical performances (not typical songs from typical bands.....they had a bunch of different genres).
I really liked the Fuse broadcast. That's what I wanted........good quality videos of some of the songs I saw htat weekend.
