Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This word also has a underground meaning once you break it down. Let’s take “Bonn” for example and it actually turns into the word “Bone”. We all know gays use this word to describe the action of when they are fecal fisting their Cuban cabana boy at their sex bath house parties. Now let’s look at Roo, “Roo” is short for “Kangaroo”.So put the full true message together and you get“Bone a Kangaroo
Yep, they said December and they will mail the DVD to the same address your tickets were sent to. They will email you prior to the mailing so that you can change the address if needed.
so does, it bother anyone else that they didn't make dvds for 05,06,and 07 and then the year with the lowest attendance they make dvd.
I'm not sure why attendance matters- if they only did it for the highest than we wouldn't get any after the first two.
If you watch the Fuse stuff you can see they have LOTS of footage. So I think we might see stuff come out as we go. Esp. if Fuse does their "Best of Bonnaroo Volumes 1- ?".
Gotcha. Then again, if attendance is down than doing one to help promote is a good idea... I think the Fuse partnership is great for this kind of thing...
for like the billionth time, Superfly has already told us to expect it in december...
settle down Capt. Buzzkill
We are now speculating on what will actually be on it - I just hope it is not just a repeat of what Fuse has been showing - I want something new and unique

It's a coincidence at best because you had to buy it with your tickets. They were planning on doing it with or without a sell out crowd. It isn't like they had a crystal ball and said, "Oh, man. We need to make a DVD this year because people aren't going to be buying tickets for this thang!"
Do you all think they will release it for everyone to buy, or just those who did the pre-order when they ordered their ticket? They filmed a ton; I hope the video is at least three hours.
2002 DVD is 2 disc, and about 3 hours of music, or so. 2003 is two discs with just over 2 hours of music. 2004 has 2 discs and was around 4 hours of music.
They are all at the msrp of $24.99 and $29.99.
Ours cost $10, so I'm thinking it'll be a bit shorter, honestly, and probably not 2 discs... now, if they could send out some data dvds of sets... That would be key.
It could be $10 bucks if you buy with your tickets, then they will put them on sale to whoever else at another price? That's probably just my hope though................

this is what i was thinking. would they really be like, "ONLY PEOPLE WHO WERE THERE IS ALLOWED TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED!"
if this follows the model of the 2004 dvd, i wonder which songs from which bands will appear on the dvd. i noticed that some of the shows didnt have a crew video-recording from the side of the stage. i could have just been oblivious, but i seriously doubt every band on that massive lineup will be featured on the dvd. any speculation as to what song performances by which bands will/should be featured on the 2008 dvd?

I was seriously thinking that it would be an exclusive thing to ticket buyers... But it could very well be mass produced and distributed through Amazon and the such, I never thought about that.

without any wishful thinking, Pearl Jam, Metallica, WSP, Jack Johnson, Umphreys, MIA, My Morning Jacket, Les Claypool, the raconteurs, BB King, Willie Nelson, Chris Rock, Plant and Krauss, Sigur Ros, Phil lesh, levons ramble
thats all ill list, but ya for the most part i think the DVD will feature artists closer to the top of the lineup, hopefully im wrong. heres my wishful thinking list.
PJ, MMJ, Plant and krauss, back door slam, robert randolph, YMSB, Phil, DSO, levon, vampire weekend, MGMT, Ghostland, Chali 2na and galactic, umphreys and anything with bela fleck
I hope it's a full length DVD, not just a 45 minute "best of". Also, if it's just a condensed version of what they showed on Fuse, I'll be somewhat pissed off. The DVD should help me get through the long wait between the lineup announcement and mid June.

I am hoping that they have some kind of "dvd-rom" like feature that allows us to go to a bonnaroo database of extra content only online or something like that. Because they do have a ton of footage and it would be a shame not to show it off.
Personally I would love it if they had at least a few of the Ghostland set. That was too great of a show for them not to have a crew. Other than that I will happy none the less (unless they showcase Kanye).
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
I'd be pretty surprised if they had any more than one song per artist. They'll probably showcase about two-dozen artists from the top of the lineup on down, including Something Else. I didn't seen any of the soundboard-area cameras in use on Thursday night so I doubt we'll see Vampire Weekend, MGMT or Battles.
I really help they sell this to the general public. As a volunteer, I didn't get to order one . I'm keeping my fingers crossed though! If they don't...an inforooster better rip it!
