i agree, it was the first time I had seen a brown india ale, i suppose that makes it a IBA?? Also, wolfmanjess is right on, they need to get the actual brewers into the broo'ers tent, it would be a lot more informative. It seems that would be more in the spirit of what they are actually trying to accomplish with this tent, really introducing people to new microbrews!
Nooooo way man. Shock Top is one of the most bland, generic Belgian Whites that I've ever had the misfortune of encountering. That is my favorite style, so I've had quite a few, and Shock Top is certainly among the bottom feeders of that catagory, whereas Blue Moon is, for a macro, surprisingly very good.
Have you tried Wittekerke? an angel at the locla liquor store steered me toward this canned gem, by far the best canned beer I have had, its perfect for festivals. not sure how widely available it is though.
I was getting ready to suggest this. We tried it at a bar up here in KY and it's SO friggin good.
Good news! Magic Hat #9 and Circus Boy are now available in Murfreesboro TN (the discount beer & tobacco outlet on Thompson Lane)
I am soooo happy, what a nice surprise for the fourth!
I'm assuming this means that these beers will be in more places around TN and maybe other near-by states - previously I don't think Magic Hat was available in the South.
