Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
heres me at roo last year getting loaded and dancing to String Cheese and trust me im not beat red and soaked in sweat from walking around b!tching about how it's not like it used to be.
i look like im pretty upset about it all dont i???
From the tighter security 2008 thread.
Can we have this Dude back? I liked him much better.
I think instead of thinking about what Bonnaroo has become you need to look at what you have become. I almost always liked your past posts even though I did not agree with all of them. Your criticisms in the past were not filled with this hatred and I’m worried that you’re letting this make you hateful. If you don’t like Bonnaroo anymore that is fine. I just think everyone needs to take a deeeeeep breath, relax, and stop stressing about things we can’t control. (IE. Who Superfly books and Kanye being an ass).

the thing is, kayne fucking up was a highlight of my Bonnaroo. I didnt want to see him at all, i do feel duped that i made the effort and failed though. The only sad part about the Kayne thing for me is all the people (my friend Rachelle included) who went to Bonnaroo and were SOOO excited that Kanye was gonna be there, but didnt even get to see him because of his antics.
But for me, it all turned into a great story and a legitimate reason to dislike someone I already disliked for reasons even myself did not know, but now i do! It would have taken a lot more than the last act on the bill i wanted (didnt even want) to see being postponed 2 hours to even come close to ruining Bonnaroo for me.

Now, see I can understand how the wait would be really fun, an extremely unique situation... I do kind of miss not being in the hype, and instead seeing more shows, but I'm glad I got to see what I did, that night.
It seemed like a big party when I went by there at 3:15... then, it started getting bad, when I walked by at like 4 or so.

fair enough. I was just thinking along the lines of encouraging more posts. So for example becca's awesome deadhorse smiley (which I still think should be the filter for Kanye ) and my mediocre-at-best attempt at logic probably never would have come about.
That being said, I don't know that this thread should die so much as just stick to the topic and not get overly repetetive. Casual conversation about kanye's inabilities to do anything besides suck and how much better Jay Z is/would've been is always entertaining every now and then...
Here is Jay-Z's entire Glasto show in television quality. We've all heard Kanye's remarks.....some of you saw his show.....big differences here..... Compare and discuss...........

I think that one of the problems between 3:15 and 4 was that whoever was choosing the music that was playing on the PA stopped trying. People were singing along and dancing to "Three Little Birds" and Beastie Boys and with some more attention to keeping the tunes playful and fun this wait could've turned magical. Opportunity missed, as far as I'm concerned.
I think next year they should offer fan DJ spots between sets. Maybe not live, just a contest where you submit a playlist and they program it between sets at various stages and tents.

^^I believe that looped song before MMJ went on was actually their doing. They apparently play that song before many shows on their tour, if not all of them maybe? There's a thread about it on here somewhere...
The loop prior to the MMJ show stands out just as much as the show itself. That song will be forever associated with MMJ to me. And I like that. If the artist picks music to play prior to their show it should trump the fan DJ spot music (if they had it )
