Unfortunately most of the stuff they mention will remain the same regardless of the party that is in control. The two parties are very similar when it comes to catering to the rich. Don't kid yourself. Democrats won't bring down gas prices. Politicians own stocks. See the forest for the trees people.

a strong dollar bennefits everyone, a dem would just be smart enough to figure out how to strengthen the dollar, without stranging (the nonexistant) growth
I'm sorry, but I found this video insulting. Firstly, there are many solid Republicans like myself who disagree with much of what might be considered "Republican" stances on issues. I'm thinking of gun control, health care, education, foreign policy, the environment and the war, to name a few (as those are some of mine). It is unfair and totally inaccurate to say that ALL Republicans agree on ALL these issues. It is additionally insulting to use such grossly caricaturized reasons attributed to Republicans for why they all feel the same way. If you're thinking, "it's just a joke, don't take it so seriously", you're right, and I don't mean to start a whole thing here. However even political humor deserves to be scrutinized and criticized, and there's nothing wrong with bringing up such issues about a little web video that pokes some fun in the wrong way.
Anyone think it's weird that John McCain may not be eligible to be President due to the fact that he was born in Panama?
In Article II, Section 1, the U.S. Constitution says:
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

Panama Canal was US property then so it counts as being born in the US. If a child is born to parents while serving over seas on US land such as a military base and other circumstances they are citizens.
I don't believe that the Canal was US property. I'm pretty sure that we had rights to it and paid a rental fee but it is still another country. I believe that those born in the Canal Zone were deemed US citizens if their parents were but that law took affect after McCain was born. Plus, you can be a citizen without being a natural born citizen.
As far as a child being born to soldier serving abroad, I would agree that they would still be a US citizen but the question is whether or not McCain is a natural born citizen as indicated in the Constitution.
There is apparently a lawsuit in motion challenging McCain's eligibility but I don't know if it is by some well-organized group or some fly-by-night nut-balls. I'm sure it won't amount to much, though.

We had a military base on the canal and policed until late in teh 20 century. I was there in the army...

Lets not argue too hard about this. It seems like a big plot to change the laws so Arnold Schwarzenegger can be President.

Peace and love.
thank you for writing this, so I didn't have too. also it must be pointed out, that the previous president could have been the greatest president ever, and the economy would still be quacked.
edit:smite, smite, smite. It's a fact. The economy would still be fucked, no matter who the president was, bush, kerry, gore, clinton, reagan, abe lincoln......the economy may have been a bit better w. a different president, but it still would have been fucked.
