They had a beef with each other over something that I think they got over. But I don't think they're as buddy buddy as they were when Kanye first broke.
this is one of the cooler things i've seen in awhile. i love me some jay z. think how much more incredible the roo would have been this year if he was there instead of kanye.
First of all, let me say I just watched this whole set on youtube, and it's amazing.
Jay-Z and Kanye are pretty close. Before Jay-Z was officially unretired for the 100th time he came out with Kanye at Monster Jam in Boston (which was absolutely insane). So to pretty much burst the bubble on his return with Kanye says they're pretty close. Plus Kanye posted a link to this performance in his blog and said "look what my big brother did" or something like that. Anyway, they're close.
Now, to be honest, this is the type of performance I was expecting from Kanye. I'd seen him twice before, and both times he put on absolutely shows. I was expecting him to come flying out at 2:45 with something bigger and better than his Glow in the Dark show (which was pretty awesome first time around). I wish he did because those brits don't like hip-hop too much and Jay-Zs show looked like a blast, I can't even imagine what it would have been like if Kanye had thrown down a similar show at Roo following that show by Pearl Jam. Oh well, would of been a blast and Kanye's career would have taken off even higher than it already is. Too bad, hopefully next year we can get a bigtime hip hop act (*cough* jay-z or outkast *cough*) to headline/headline latenight right.
