If Superfly/AC are going to try to book a big name Hip-Hop Act for next year, they need really consider Jay-Z. I just watched some of the Glastonbury footage from his show on youtube and he was great. I am not a huge fan, but I say if Superfly/AC booked him this would make up for the Kanye debacle.
I'm not big on him, but Bonnaroo has to have hip hop, so they may as well book someone who's rippin shhit up, and won't pull a disgraceful Kanye out there.

i used to really dislike Jay Z. i loved the song Ether by Nas and the theme of that song is pretty much "Fuck Jay-Z"
but now i kinda like Jay Z even though im still not big into hiphop/rap. after the kanye fiasco (and we though lupe would be the only fiasco at bonnaroo, peh!) however, any big name in hip hop that isnt Kanye and who will show kanye how to do it right at a festival is A Ok in my books.
For a headliner, pre-headliner or more than likely a late-night, a-la Kanye, I'd rather see any of the following:
Wu-Tang Clan NWA reunion (What I would give for this....oh god. Re-incarnate Eazy, plz) Snoop Dogg
or I'd love a performence from Immortal Technique. That would probably be on the late night hip-hop extravaganza stage.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say you haven't seen any of these artists live. Wu-Tang is pretty much a big mess; you might get a transcendant hip-hop show, or you might get a giant clusterfuck with 45 people on stage all yelling into mics over each other.
NWA had a "reunion" several years back with Xzibit (I believe) taking the place of Eazy. It really wasn't good. At all.
I've seen Snoop twice. Both times he basically just rapped over his songs, with the pre-recorded backing track.
Nah, havent seen any of those live =(
I'd seriously love a serious NWA reunion though. fuck Xzibit.

The only Jay Z i listen to really are his collaborations with Danger Mouse. The Grey Album is farking sick though, so I'll vote hell yes. I'd definitely check it out

Check out these lyrics from The Black Album
I dumbed down for my audience to double my dollars They criticized me for it yet they all yell "HOLLA!" If skills sold, truth be told, I'd probably be lyrically, Talib Kweli Truthfully I wanna rhyme like Common Sense But I did five mill' - I ain't been rhymin like Common since When your cents got that much in common And you been hustlin since, your inception F*** perception go with what makes sense Since I know what I'm up against We as rappers must decide what's most impor-tant And I can't help the poor if I'm one of them So I got rich and gave back, to me that's the win/win
I'm not a fan but i'm willing to give this guy a chance. The glastonbury vids were really cool. Like godwessatan said i'd rather see Tribe called Quest though or Outkast, or does anyone remember the Alkoholics? I wonder if they are still making music..
