This isn't a huge festival like Bonnaroo or Lolla or ACL or anything, but it's a wonderful festival over three days in downtown Cincinnati and No. Kentucky, that features mostly smaller bands.
However, last year, Superdrag started their return here, and this year Robert Pollard's new project, Boston Spaceships will be making their start here.
There are a few other bigger bands you may have heard of that will be playing this year including Backyard Tire Fire and Ha Ha Tonka.
I love all types of music and different sizes of bands, both famous and unknown, and over the past couple years I have really gotten behind the local music scene here, and I'm sure most of the good people here on Inforoo do the same in their communities.
So for fun, for myself, for a few friends, I am making my very own guide to this year's MidPoint Festival. So far, there are a hundred or so bands, but I expect there to be more added.
Did I mention that Cincinnati's MidPoint Festival is like the Midwest's version of Austin's SXSW? It may not be nearly that large or feature all the extra stuff that SXSW has, but it's one of the few greatest things in music, we have here in Cincinnati to look forward to each year.
I'm pumped and just want to share the "guide" that I've been currently working on over the past couple days. I'll be posting it on my blog when I feel it's finished.
If anything, here is a list of 100 or so bands, that I want to introduce all of you Inforooers to. Just want to share my love for music with y'all.

I tried out for VH1'S World Series of Pop Culture, and we were going to be Southern Pop Culture on the Skids, but you can't reference band names. I loved that name.
