Just an easy question, and I need confirmation. Is there an El train station in the O'hare Airport?
I'm staying in a hotel that offers complimentary service to the airport, and I'd like to use it to get to the station if possible.
Also, can anyone give me the names of some cool neighbhorhoods / bars / resturants where my friends and I can hang out? I'd like to avoid the chain-ey type stuff it at all possible. But if it's cool, I'm cool.
Also, tell me what areas to avoid.
PS - Is it ok to ride the El at night? It will be myself, 3 other girls and a guy.
Lincoln Park is a very nice neighborhood. Go to the Bourgeois Pig. It has good food and drinks and has a very laid back atmosphere. If you want deep dish pizza, hit up Giordanos. I think thats in down town.
The L is really pretty safe. As safe as you can get for public transportation in a major city. Just be aware, use some common sense, and try to KNOW where you're going, as far as schedules and locations go.
