I really want to go to this but have maxed out on the festival travel this year. Luckily my consolation shows will be Bob Weir w/ Ratdog, ABB, Umph's McGee, and Govt Mule all at Red Rocks!

^yup that good. and no words or pics can provide an accurate description of how amazing and magical the ledges truly are! it was my first time there, and certainly not my last, i felt at home right away and cannot wait to go back ;D
well as always gratefulfest was insanely awesome!! the park was overflowing with people. jazzam and papdosio got it started quick with awesome sets on friday afternoon. and jeremy who plays keys for jazzam hooked his gear up to 3 trucks and played music all night long in the woods. it was awesome to have a jam with power going on in the woods!! hot day at the zoo was incredible! boombox was even better then usual. DSO was an 88 show on friday. it was good but nothing special. saturday and sunday are 2 of the best shows ive ever seen. donna jean and lisa were on stage for saturday night and it was just sooooo much fun! keller came out on sunday before set break. they closed it out with not fade away. they left the stage and the whole crowd chanted and clapped until they came back out and went into brokedown palace. it was such a magical moment. everything was perfect this weekend. it rained all day on thursday but was beautiful for all the music. the fireworks were exceptional. all in all it was just another perfect weekend at the ledges!!!
Nelson Ledges is magical. Keller Williams was great. What about Grown Folks? I thought they were excellent as well. I think I saw you guys a couple times throughout the weekend.

awww you should have come say hi! did you see me? i was carrying around a big fuzzy red flower ;D most of the weekend.. .
what a fantastic weekend...i think i left my heart at the ledges cuz its been broken ever since ive been back
Ah yes, I saw you and your flower! Also, I watched someone trying to make bubbles by the main stage on Friday for a few minutes. Then I realized it was you. Thank goodness for me and my Inforoo creeping.
Did you know people live at the Ledges year-round? Forget about the life you've established in New York. Home is where the heart is!

what a fuckin spectacular weekend. we were camped right next to the campsite that jeremy from jazzam was jamming out at on saturday night. i love how you could just wander around the woods and still hear all the music being played at the stage. it was like listening to the soundtrack of my life. it reminds me of that family guy where peter has his own theme music.

we were around saturday and sunday. if you were standing on the trail in front of the jazzam site we were camped to the left sort of in the back off of the trail. we had a big fire and an orange canopy. their fire and our fire were practically right next to each other.
i hope it is labor day weekend again. im thinking they may wait to see if rothbury is a go before they announce the gratefulfest dates. last year they said they moved gratefulfest to laborday because DSO couldnt play the 4th. so if they dont have something on the 4th this year it wouldnt surprise me too much if it returned to the 4th. but my guess is it had more to do with rothbury then anything else. so im thinking if rothbury happens g-fest will be on labor day again. i would say there is a 50 percent or better shot that DSO would play rothbury if it happens.
they have added some fests for 2009 on nlqp.com but the 4th just says big surprises to come. im thinking bobby for the 4th. maybe 2 nights. and STS9 and Lotus at summer dance. and gratefulfest on laborday. thats what i want for christmas!
