Three dates in OH, but *nothing* in Illinois?? No Chicago or Champaign?
Watchin' a stretch of road, miles of light explode. Driftin' off a thing I'd never done before. Watchin' a crowd roll in. Out go the lights it begins. A feelin' in my bones I've never felt before...
^^^ Champaign huh? My friends just moved there... and they make it sound like there's no more than a dozen other people living there...
Champaign is awesome. I've lived here for ten years now. Great music scene, great restaurants, museums, galleries, etc. Best part about it is it has all the perks of the suburbs YET NO SUBURBANITES (except for the UIUC students, but they stay on campus so I don't have to deal with them). Plus you can go twenty minutes in any direction and be in the middle of lush greenness. Can't say that about Chicago.

I'm sure you're right on that. I just wish it could be for the encore Oasis walks off the stage and Ryan comes out and plays by himself. That would be ideal in my opinion
And since when does Ryan open for other bands on tour? I didn't know his ego allowed him to do that?
It does happen on occasion. This will be the second or third time in my memory. I saw Whiskeytown open for John Fogerty for certain. And I almost think that they opened for Willie. ...Shit no. Ryan opened for The Stones too.

hey, like, you can't mention that you saw Whiskeytown and then not give more information... please, a review or whatever you remember...
I can tell you all about the first 6 or 7 songs. After that things got a little um... blurry.
My favorite Ryan moment came in Baltimore in 05'.
That is a stool. That is the crowd that he is in the middle of. And While Strum is my favorite professional drunk,I doubt that he can finish off a jug of wine and still do this.
EDIT: I'll try and dig up the review I wrote for this magazine for the Whiskeytown/Fogerty show.
