I just gave the new album a listen, and its pretty good stuff. I'd certainly prefer Jay-Z to headline, but I think a Nas latenight would be pretty sweet. Maybe we'd even get an acoustic Thug Mansion.
i say nay. i don't think a guy who puts an album out claiming "hip hop is dead", should be one of the few groups/people that represent the hip hop lineup at roo. hes lost touch of what he used to represent in the 90s, as well as the quality of music. maybe my opinion will change after listening to his new album but for now i'm saying nay to nas.

I agree with a lot of what you say, I really have not cared for his recent work, but this record is definitely a step in the right direction IMO, and its still Nas.

You're definitely misunderstanding the "hip hop is dead" line.
I've been a fan of Nas since Illmatic. However, I don't think I want to see him on the farm, especially not as a headliner. It's not the right venue for him. Hiphop artist who do well at Roo expand their boundries farther than hiphop itself, like the roots. The farm deserves, hell demands more than what the typical rap artist can bring.

I disagree with this, I think bonnaroo needs a true Hip hop to come and put on a great set like Jay-Z at Glastonbury, so we should probably just have Jay-Z. I don't think Nas is big enough to headline though right now, more like latenight main stage if they do that again.
