Although I have listened to some slayer in my time, I must say that would bring a abominable, alarming, appalling, atrocious, deplorable, depressing, dire, disgusting, distressing, dreadful, fearful, frightful, ghastly, gross, gruesome, harrowing, hideous, horrendous, horrible, horrific, horrifying, repulsive, ugly, unpleasant, unsightly VIBE to bonnaroo that i dont believe it would ever recover from. AKA the figurative nail in the coffin for an already dying festival

Yeah, Slayer will ruin the vibe way more than Kanye did. If you don't like them, don't see them. I don't think they will be cutting any sets short for Slayer.

I like your alphabetical organization there
Thank you kind sir, it must be the way my mind works.....
I would love to see Slayer, but I had to vote no. They just don't fit in at all, not even a little bit. Slayer played a show at PNC bank arts center, a venue around where I live, and the crowd on the lawn seats f'ed up the barriers separating the lawn and chair so bad they had to have it replaced. Mind you, this is a metal gate type deal as a permanent fixture in the ground, totally destroyed. I just don't think it could turn out well haha.

I'm sure Slayer draws this crowd, but probably not at bonnaroo. That is the crowd Metallica draws on their tours, but didn't really happen at bonnaroo. I just don't think Slayer is big enough to bring a lot of their fans to the festival as long they have a tour announced.
I love Slayer. But I voted no because I don't think they would get the set they deserve. I saw them at Ozzfest the time they had a day-time slot. Just weird. I'm not worried about the kind of crowd they would bring. Seeing as they tour somewhat frequently, I wouldn't be concerned that a bunch of "meatheads" are going to drive to the farm to see them play a day spot in a tent. I am more concerned that the hippies are going to complain the whole time. But as we saw with Metallica, the farm won't be burned down.
I myself was a big metalhead before I got into jam music. And the guys I have gone to 'roo with are still pretty big metalheads. I'm not worried about anybody ruining the VIBE of Bonnaroo.

"Kerrang!" are reporting that Marilyn Manson, Slayer and Trivium are in the running for the upcoming 2009 edition of the "Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival". As previously reported, Behemoth are also expected to show up on the bill, while Cannibal Corpse will be a headlining act on a new 'extreme metal' stage.

I voted yes, but I don't think it would ever happen. Been to many Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer shows. Slayer would be the most extreme by far. They are a good live, but they would be a daytime show or in a tent. Also, they always have crazy videos of messed up stuff. I dont see they bonnaroo crowd going for that. When I saw them it was in an arena cut in half, and it didnt even get close to selling out. In fact they started offering tickets 2 for 1, because sales were so bad.
I've seen Slayer and they were awesome; with that said I would like to see them at Bonnaroo, but I do worry about dumb people that think Slayer is white supremacist and follow that. I saw like two people when I saw them, it was funny because me and my friend (who was totally white) walked by this chick and she raised her hand and said "White Power" Then we burst out laughing and walked by.
