Hey, i might be getting the chance to travel around europe next summer and thought i might as well check out an awesome festival over there. Anybody know which one is most like bonnaroo or any festivals you know of that are just plain fun? Thanks for the help!
Hmm, well, I haven't actually been, but I'd probably say Glastonbury. You might also want to consider Reading and Leeds, though. I'm not too sure about festies in mainland Europe, from what I understand a lot of the fests there are geared mostly towards metal.
I can personally recommend Pinkpop in Holland. I was there in 2001. They have alot of pop acts and alot of acts you probably won't want to see, but they always have quality acts too. Holland + camping fest = awesome times ...........
they do a good job with organizing all the information that you would need. They will fill in the spots as the information becomes available, which wont be for a little bit, since festival season just kinda ended. I haven't been to any euro festivals, but I would think that Glastonbuy would be pretty out of control. I think that it is considered to be the Grandad of all festivals, but you have to be on top of the ticket buying situation because I think they do it lottery style.

I saw a commercial for the show Excellent Adventure, and it totally turned me onto the same idea, unfortunately I planned for a spring vacation, and most of the good festivals are in the summer, kind of a bummer but hey what can you do. Anyone seen anything about the show? It looks pretty cool Excellent Adventure

Melt Festival in Germany and Exit Festival in Serbia both look badass. Tons of croatian festivals on the water for electronic music lovers, Global Gathering, etc etc
