I GOT tickets ;D me and my brother , for all 3 nights. my brother got the congrats email, i havent gotten an email either way tho. I CANT BELIEVE IT.
Congrats! Be sure to take loads of pictures. I'm not that big of a fan, but even I'm really jealous. I'm sure they'll all be phenomenal, completely insane shows. I was actually talking to my friends, and we were tossing around the idea of just driving down there anyway, sans tickets, and just partying it up in the parking lot with the loads of other phans who would undoubtedly just show up, even without tickets, just to be there.
I'm clearly doing this regardless of Saturday's outcome
I thought it was interesting about how they were gonn try and weed out the scalpers, by making your request lower priority if they see multiple tickets going to one address.
To be honest, I thought they were going to do it like Tom Waits does it, where they put your name on the ticket and you have to show your ID at the door. At least I think that's how he does it, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm saying this with all the love in the world, really.
Please think twice about going down to Hampton without tickets. As it is, they're expecting 60k people to show up for a venue that seats 14k. If you ever want to see Phish in a small(ish) venue, PLEASE, don't block up a city's streets and create an even bigger mess. Especially if you're going just for the party. I know it's going to be an awesome party and everyone wants to be a part of it, but just consider the problems that come along with too many people trying to be in one place at the same time.
People going to shows without tickets is why none of us will ever see Phish at Redrocks. Just think about it.
Watchin' a stretch of road, miles of light explode. Driftin' off a thing I'd never done before. Watchin' a crowd roll in. Out go the lights it begins. A feelin' in my bones I've never felt before...

Duly noted. Like I said, we were just considering it, nothing is set in stone yet. And that is exactly the reason why we're still considering it, because we realize that it's a very long drive and it's going to be a complete clusterquack. So we'll see. If I do go, I'll go to Hampton early and then take public transport from wherever I'm staying, or perhaps even just Greyhound it down there / take the Delta shuttle. Whatever I choose to do, it's really just an idea at this point.

so if anyone out there wants to know what hotel me and my brother are staying at, PM me and ill give u the details. 20 min from the venue - 89 bucks a night, the guy said there were SOME rooms left.
I know it's probably not going to happen, but I have to at least try. So is it better to try online, or go to an outlet?
I wish the hell I knew.
I have done online, and been in the back row while my friend got 2nd row at the outlet.
This weekend I tried the outlet and got nothing. Numb nuts at the Kroger I went to had no clue, and floor tickets never went to the outlets. I tried the actual venue the show was at. They were not selling them at all!

Awesome. Public transportation FTMFW : )
Hell yeah! Besides the fact that it usually costs less than driving solo if you book early, you also get to see so much of the country. I think I might have mentioned this before, but one of my best friends and I took a Greyhound across the country last Christmas to visit our mutual friend. We went from Boston to New York, then New York to Pittsburgh. In Pittsburgh, we had a long wait between buses, so my friend and I walked around and enjoyed a bowl of corn on one of the big yellow bridges near the Greyhound station. Well... yeah. We got back, and the bus had come early and had left early as well. In fact, it left before it was even supposed to arrive. So we got rerouted through:
Cincinatti > Indianapolis > St. Louis > Kansas City, MO > Wichita, KS > Oklahoma City > Amarillo, TX (we slept on the bus station floor during our 16 hour overnight wait here) > Albuquerque, NM > Denver, CO.
As someone who fancies himself a writer, I can truly say I've gotten the inspiration for some of my most interesting characters from people I've met randomly during that trip; sitting next to someone on a long plane trip or bus ride and just striking up conversation, you meet so many folks you'd ordinarily never talk to. To be honest, though, I would not want to take another cross-country bus trip. No further than 1000 miles in a bus is my new rule.

Geez. Remind me before the show. I can probably get you there faster.
Just like I was denied by mail order for the reunion at MSG 02 and Hampton 03.
I personally hate Music Today and wish they would go back to the original Phish Tickets By Mail and reward people for loyalty, dedication, and NOT dropping multiple entries. It makes me kind of sick the whay this thing went down.
But, that said, I found my way into all 4 nights of the first comeback run, and I'll do the same here. I'm confident. Never say die.
Also Denied...and green...but hopeful for this weekend! Congrats to all who got! Oh and excited to see trey tomorrow! ( i know wrong thread for that...sorry)

so FYI, me and my brother both put in ONE request each, and the ppl that i know who did multiple entries did NOT get tickets. (one person i know put in 4 requests and got nothing..) hopefully that makes you feel better - knowing that some good people got their tickets.

YES.
Ah. The note cards. The money orders. The making sure you didn't frak anything up. The being at the post office at the right time, with everything set and ready to go. You had to make sure you a) had all your money (a different MO for each show) b) followed the rules precisely and it favored those who had a history of ordering tickets.

It's a new era. I'm not sure I like it.
i have never ordered from them for any show. and i got my request filled

maybe i just got lucky
It's two totally different systems.
This lottery was through Music Today.
What we were talking about is the way Phish used to do tickets. It used to be that you would download a form from their website, check off boxes for the shows you wanted to see and mail in a money order for each show (while completing various other seemingly ridiculous tasks).
The great thing about this is that once you were in the system, you had priority over any one who wasn't. This meant loyal fans would have first dibs on hard-to-get tickets over first-timers. It also meant you got a rainbow of neat looking tickets.
It was easier for Phish to dole out tickets using this lottery. It will also keep less people from coming without tickets for all three nights and looking for them on lot. I understand why they did it. I may at the beginning stages of becoming a jaded vet, but I can't help but be a bit upset when I see that none of the people I used to tour with got tickets and a lot of young people who have never seen Phish have.
YES, everyone should get to see Phish and I'm really excited for those of you who for which this will be your first time--you're life will never be the same and everyone with a soul deserves to experience live Phish.
I put too much weight on the word "reunion" and expected things to be much like they were ten years ago. But times have changed and the scene will change. I can't help but be nostalgic.

Streetbum--I was going to respond to what you wrote, but it looks like you deleted it or it got lost.
I'm not saying anyone deserves to see Phish more than anyone else. In fact, I'm saying that EVERYone should get to see this band (reread my second to last paragraph). What I am saying is that it's sad that so many people got shut out because they only selected one show as opposed to requesting the maximum amount of tickets. The old system favored seniority over access to credit cards.
