I have a few options for halloween. i can go to nelsons ledges to see ekoostik hookah and hot day at the zoo and other bands. this sounds like it would be fun, but i have seen both those bands several times this summer and have been to the ledges several times too.
my other option is to go see the boogie hustlers. i would like to do this, but it is almost 3 hours away and will be more expensive. i have never seen them before and was wondering if anybody has. are they a dancing good time? they sound like they would have a lot of energy on stage.

^^ hell yes. i have seen them at roo, all good, and 3 nights at gratefulfest this year. you will have an awesome time. hope you have a spooky or unique costume to wear.

the ledges is appealing because i would have a raging fire going all night long and my long johns on of course. i would only go for saturday night if i go there. i usually don't sleep if i only go there for one night.
but i have been researching this boogie hustlers party and find myself getting pumped about it. its in a hotel and you get a discount on the room if you go to the show. this may be an option for you too clairity. if you feel like making the drive.
"Homegrown Halloween ball featuring an evening of music from The Boogie Hustlers, Mother Earth's Good Time Band, and more! This event is open to the public and a costume is extremely recommended. Halloween food and drink and an evening of live music, book your room upstairs now and get a discounted rate by mentioning you're attending the Halloween event.... more specific show details to come, but mark your calender now!"
I'm gonna go see Sasha at this little club here in Atlanta. If you'd seen Sasha and Digweed at Roo '07, you'll understand why this prospect has me totally psyched!
Well...THE Halloween show I would love to see is The Black Crowes at Hammerstein in NYC with Patti Smith opening...OH YEAH! Now THAT is a party!! LRH is going.....
But...next to that....NIN is playing the Summit Center in Nashvegas for Halloween...not a bad second choice I'd say! ;D Would be the second time in a week (and third time this year ) to see them...but who's counting?? Yeah....their show is THAT GOOD!! ;D

I'll be in Madison for the weeknend.
10/31 - Atmosphere @ Orpheum Theatre 11/1 - 'Freakfest' on State St; OAR, Dovan Frankenreiter, several others. Bands aren't really the big thing here, though.

Why yes... I am! ;D
And FishingManiac is going to the Misfits at BB Kings, which would be MY 2nd choice, if I wasn't going somewhere cooler already
It's between The Black Angels, or Helmet. BOTH would be sick. I guess its up to my mood....we shall see.
SHHIET man. Why did you not say The Black Angels were playing with Roky Erickson. Do yourself a favor and GO TO THIS. I'm serioulsy gonna try and do this. I almost have her sold on HARD Halloween.
So The Flips are doing another Halloween parade titled 'March of 1,000 Flaming Skeletons'. You gotta buy a costume for like $35 bucks but it comes with a torch. And the outfit looks like this
NIN in Nashville sounds awesome... but I've seen them twice, and maybe another time in November, so I opted to go see Legendary Pink Dots in Chapel Hill on Halloween.
Legendary Pink Dots + Halloween + relatively close to me = Can't miss event.
