Oh my GOD. I just did Feet Night of the Baltimore Round Robin in Oberlin and it was the most interactive music experience ever. If you have the chance, GO. You will be sooo happy you did.

Feet Night at the Starlight Ballroom in Philly was, hands down, the best overall concert experience of my life. So much god damn fun, and it promotes exercise!

Future Islands are the shiz. They used to be Art Lord & The Self Portraits and used to be from Greeneville, NC. I just saw them last month and they were great. The lead singer, Sam, is a really nice guy too

That was fun last night. For anyone else that might be catching this tour before it winds down, it goes like this: all the artists set up their equipment around the perimeter of the venue, and the audience stands in the center. Each artist takes a turn playing a single song, then another artist plays immediately afterward with no breaks. The concept works very well-- it kind of feels like being at a trade fair for indie music. The one drawback, judging by last night, is that the crowd will literally run from one act to the next, smashing together and slamdancing. If you're not inclined to be in that type of atmosphere (like if you are trying to protect your wife who is nursing a cold), you'll be spending a lot of time getting out of the way. There is a great difference in quality among the artists, and some flat out suck. But overall it's a great experience, and you can't beat the price!
