I'm most likely going to be taking a trip back home to Australia either next summer or the summer after, and when I do, I will probably be going to this.
A big group of my friends who live down there go to this almost every year. It's in Byron Bay, which is about 10 hours drive up the coast from Sydney (or about 2 hours down the coast from Brisbane - but we'll be coming from Sydney). It's a lot smaller than Roo (maybe 15k or 20k people), but it still draws a lot of the same big names, and it usually sells out within a few hours of tickets going on sale. Unfortunately, camping on site is pretty limited, and most people get hotel rooms nearby.
The Splendour line-up generally tends to be more focused on indie bands than Bonnaroo, but there's still a fair deal of overlap between the two. Just wondering if you guys had any thoughts or comments.
