Growing up where I did in the south you can't escape bluegrass. And when you get struck by bluegrass there is only one fix for that and it happens to be Merle Fest down in good ole Wilkesboro,NC. Started by Doc Watson as an homage to his son Merle, It now features several stages and at 85k people an attendance that rivals Bonnaroo. Huge Huge festival.

If you are into folk/bluegrass at all I would give this serious consideration.
I'll probably only be there friday this year. I have a free ticket that day, and I'm trying to save $ for festivals the two following weekends. It is a nice chill fest though...not a party, but great with the family.
^^ You guys should go!!!! So much fun. I can't make it this year but I had a blast last year and the year before. Cheap if you camp on the grounds too.
