Well, OK, I'll go again.
I work part-time as an administrative assistant in the development department of an Orthodox Christian charity organization that provides relief work in war-torn and developing countries, or for victims of natural disasters. Most recently we've been working in Georgia (the country), Kosovo, Ethiopia and the American Gulf Coast.
I also run a piano tuning and repair business on the side. Although the work can be monotonous, it's really one of the best jobs in the world: easy money, low stress, self-employed, make your own hours, meet interesting people. That last one is true... last year I tuned Sisqó's piano. He's very short and plays lots of video games. I also tuned at a rock club for Morrissey, but didn't get to meet him.
And lastly, I play drums. So, I've been getting into teaching as well as gigging. I just got hired to play in the orchestra for a production of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum", at a nearby community college.
That's cool. I play drums as well. No band currently, but I have played for "Godspell" and "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown". Hope you enjoy doing it!

Well, alright! For me it's been something I've just kinda fallen into, but it's pretty fun. And likewise, I used to do some acting when I was a kid. Just a bit. Really the only two jobs I ever got were for a classroom video about bullying and a PSA also about bullying. Both times I was cast as the bully. Not sure what that says about me. Anyway, keep up the drumming and acting!
I work as security at a concert venue(well did, they don't do shows in the winter it's an outside venue), and also security at a warehouse for newegg.com...but I'm going to school so thats just a BS job, I hope I can get a good job after college that afford me the pleasures of festival going.
I'm a junior journalism major. I have no idea what I want to do with it after college, except not journalism. At least in the strict sense.
Otherwise, I wait tables at a locally owned restaurant & tavern. The money is unpredictable as are the management, but I have great job security in light of the industry, and its nice to have a job you can coast at when you have better applications of your energy. Oh and the cash in hand and avoidable taxes of serving is only paralleled by more illegal jobs.
I work for a very large company designing the integration of interactive technology into K12 and Hi-ed classrooms. An interesting but not very exciting job (very similar to the Dilbert environment or think of Office Space, yeah, definitely Office Space!). I went to school for Computer Information Systems so I guess it is indirectly related to my degree.
my main thing is going to school right now...studying biology, and will eventually do grad work towards marine biology (studying whales, turtles, etc on a ship in the middle of the ocean for weeks or months at a time would be my dream)...as for my current job, i work at my father's pediatric clinic...mainly front desk type duties--answering phones, checking people in and verifying their insurance (over 90% of which is medicaid), inputting claims so we can bill and get paid, and so on...oh, and checking out bonnaroo.proboards21.com frequently!!!

Ooooooo.....marine biology... have you any need for a Thanatologist on your ship? I think I would much rather do that. I know you're not done with school yet, but I am officially putting in my request for employment. lol

My business card says:
Technical Specialist Video Market Support Professional Products Marketing Canon U.S.A.
No I don't work in a call center. I actually travel all over the country. Within the company I'm referred to as a "Pro Rep", meaning professional product representative. My job is to educate, inform and influence video professionals about products. I do hands on technical support for customers that buy multiple HD cameras. Primarily I work with people involved in sports video application (not broadcast - usually), wedding videographers, and broadcast news organizations. Those are my areas of expertise. I also do a lot of trade shows. I'm pretty much a professional know it all. I have to know everything about video formats, compression schemes, other manufacturers products including 2k and 4k digital cinema cameras. I also need to know how to operate different video editing systems when using different formats just in case I need to help out a customer with something in post.
The two big perks of my job are that I get to keep my frequent flier miles from traveling (That's part of what got me to roo.), and getting samples of all of our video products. Unfortunately I almost never use them. They did just issue me our new DSLR that shoots HD video and I have been enjoying taking still photos with it.
I absolutely love my job. I work with a small team of truly special and brilliant people. I am honored and humbled to be part of this wonderful team.
I play drums too, but don't make a dime at it. That's what I was supposed to do for a living. Things didn't turn out too bad though.

I love marine bio too, that's what I took for my science credit senior year of high school. I thought it was really interesting stuff, for the most part.
I got to see the RED system last spring out in Moab Utah, pretty cool platform and method of accessorizing. Crew was shooting footage for Nissan North America. Not sure what if anything will show up on the tube. What was fun was placing a 40K camera under the path of vehicles and then watching the trucks drive over the stop. The crew was somewhat nervous of laying their baby under vehicles that were worth less than 1/4 of the cost of the camera.
All the video systems are cool in my book, watching the editing is amazing to see what people put together.

^^^ Red is actually much less expensive than it's primary competitors. It's only $17K for the body (or "brain" as they call it) which is far less than most of the 2k models that compete. It cost about $35K minimum to make it an accessorized and workable tool. Still a lot less than others.
I sell real estate, which in this market means I'm only marginally employed! With my extra time, I get involved with political campaigns and have worked on two ballot initiatives the past year.
I'm working part time as a teller and going to school full time. I spent the last four years majoring in elementary education and then decided at the last minute to change my major. So now my major is psychology. My three major areas of interest that I will choose from before I graduate are juveniles, mental hospitals, and criminals. And after I get my career started I want to do some side work with foster kids, or maybe the shelters that homeless women go to with their kids.

You might actually know my brother. Or at least he might use something you sold.
