^^^Awww thanks! I was kinda hoping I could find someone else willing to drive....even if it was my car - LOL! But...come Friday night I"m sure I'll find myself there...especially when there is NOTHING going on down here in comparison and knowing how much fun you guys will be having up there!
So...any plans on trying to meet up before/after or is it just a free for all dance party as is the usual at Ghostland?? LOL!
Hope you make it! And gas is so cheap that it's really cost-effective now
I'd be down with meeting up before, even if it's at the Cannery just to know who everyone is. The show doesn't start until 10:00 so there's plenty of time to have some fun! I'm fighting a cold right now but I'm hoping it will die before tomorrow night so I will be in dancing condition.
EDIT: The show has been pushed up to start at 9:00 now!
Well lets be fair at Mercy/Cannery I have never seen a show that started within 30 minutes of when they say it will.
True, true! We probably won't get there until 9:30ish anyway. I haven't heard good things about Sportag Jensen, and I don't want to ruin my mood before the main event.
I be there too! I wouldn't think Ghostland would take the stage before 10 at the earliest. Sportag will prob go on around 9:15, but Cannery has a tendency to run a lil late sometimes. GONNA BE ONE HELL OF A DANCE PARTY!
Yes! Amazing show! ...not like I had any doubts though! ;D
My crew showed up later (9:30 or so),& I was pleasantly surprised with the crowd that had already filled in - Nashville can be so hit or miss for great bands sometimes. After the show I realized I really hadn't seen all that much, due to my height & where we were standing - I was a little bummed about that initially, but at least during the show I was having such a good time dancing and singing my ass off that I didn't notice
If any of you saw me I was the girl with red jeans and blunt brunette/purple bangs, we were close to a lot of the people w/3-d glasses and one guy who was wearing a white helmet thing
^^ Squirrel, we were also near folks with 3-D glasses. There was also guy with a purple afro. Sort of in the center, near a pole (imagine that, a pole in the middle of the floor the Cannery)... maybe you were near us?? There were girls behind me that put their jackets on the floor, as a buffer I think, but I kept stepping on it so it didn't really work.

Yeah I remember the purple afro! ...I think he was to the left of us, I didn't notice any girls with jackets on the floor though
as for the poles, they've been blocking my view for a couple shows now , next show I think I need to get closer to the stage and avoid them all together!

Ghostland for Halloween in Dallas was fucking insane. I didn't think anything could beat crystal castles at Roo, but lasers and a ridiculously packed house of people in costumes made for one he'll of a party. Here's a video, may post more later.
They're back!!! Thursday, Dec. 10 (2009) at the Cannery. Tickets are $20. Anyone down to go???
I bought my friend Jennifer a ticket for her birthday next week. We all met you at the Inforoo Brunch, but not sure if you remember her. If she doesn't have anyone to go with (I am way too old to go to those shows!) I will tell her to message you.

For the record I have accompanied Druid to, Disco Biscuits, a Shpongle rave until 3 in the morning, and quite possibly the most off the wall festie venue in the USA. If she can handle all that I am sure you can
