I bought my friend Jennifer a ticket for her birthday next week. We all met you at the Inforoo Brunch, but not sure if you remember her. If she doesn't have anyone to go with (I am way too old to go to those shows!) I will tell her to message you.
For the record I have accompanied Druid to, Disco Biscuits, a Shpongle rave until 3 in the morning, and quite possibly the most off the wall festie venue in the USA. If she can handle all that I am sure you can
Haha true indeed. To be perfectly honest, I can, I am just choosing to spend my money on other concerts and saving for a trip to Great Britain
dreamingtree I haven't bought a ticket because I didn't know of anyone else that wanted to go.... but yeah, tell her to message me or facebook friend me and we can discuss it!

I just hope I can still do things like that when I'm her age.

I resemble that remark.........
It remains to be seen whether I can survive Voodoo and Bear Creek with only a week in between. I feel good right now, but then I just got started on a vintage Oct. '09 gallon of homemade wine not long ago.

I went to The Mars Volta with her a few weeks ago, and even though we were possible the oldest people there, we had a great time! I really don't think we look or act old!

J, I will tell her to add you on Facebook and chat with you - she usually knows lots of people going to those shows but I am sure she would love for you to go. She is lots of fun.
I'm hoping to go see them the day before my birthday in Charlotte... saw most of their set after Sigur Ros at Bonnaroo. After being almost lulled to sleep with the serenity of the Ros, I was thrust to consciousness with their amazing light show and decent but engaging electro pop.

Anyone seeing Ghostland in Philadelphia on the 4th of December?
If so... I highly recommend driving a little over an hour the next day (5th)and going to a one night indoor camping festival in Kempton PA... Boogie in the Bungalow... went last year and it kicked ass... only 25$ and the 4 main bands playing there are amazing... plenty of good people, good music, and good corn... Jibberjazz runs it and they never throw a bad festival

atlanta show was fun until 3 drunk sluts tried to push and shove their way into the front row center spot that me and my girlfriend had earned by standing there and being one of the first 20 people in that venue. inconsiderate people irritate me more than anything. dj airwolf opened... and he... blows... hard. he wasted two hours of not even decent mixing... i felt bad for him for getting booed and "ghostland" chants during his entire set... but man he was terrible!

Do they have much to offer other than a kick ass light show? Any album recommendations?
I personally think Ghostland is more of a live-band experience than a sit-around-listening-to-their-music band. (But there are probably some people that would argue with me on that) They are a lot of fun to see live but their music isn't something I listen to on my iPod unless I'm having a party or something like that.
My personal enjoyment of Ghostland's show/music is derived from their show at 2008, when I stumbled upon the Tent. I had no idea who they were when I saw them, only that it was the most awesome show I saw at Roo 08; everyone was having a blast. So when I hear their music or see them live, it brings back great memories from their 08 performance.

Ok, I had not really looked that far ahead. But I'm always up for a weekend in Nashville. I love Nashville but have not got to spend any time there besides rolling into the airport. We'll see when the time rolls around.
