I saw them in Atlanta near Christmas time a couple of years back. They played with The Shins, Silverchair, and the Silversun Pickups. I didn't really care for the Silverchair or the Silversun Pickups but Silverchair did put on a nice show. The Shins were awesome! And Modest Mouse was pretty decent, I was just tired when they finally came on. I had a horrible seat but one of the people that worked there saw me and asked if I wanted floor and she let me go. But I would have enjoyed it better if I wasn't so exhausted. I would like to see them again though.
However, I have heard very bad things about their live shows, and I know that they play primarily stuff from the last two albums (which I hate). I'd give it a shot, but I'd not go in with high expectations.
They're very inconsistent. I'm not a huge fan, but I will give them props for a stellar show at Sasquatch 2008. I'd say no only because you really don't know what kind of performance you'll get from them.
Like others have said, I've heard that they're not that great live. Still, I really like their stuff and would like to make my own opinion on their shows. So, I say yes.
personally i love them live. they've been around my parts three times. i saw them twice. but i have heard others say that they weren't that great [the show that i missed when they came around]. i dunno, i think at bonnaroo they would give it their all! bring it on!

I don't doubt that they have off nights, but I've seen'em 4 times, always really good, better every time, the last time really great. Given the trend, I'm banking on awesome for time number 5, would love it to be at Roo
