Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
If i can get the time off work, I really think I'm gonna be heading down. It's less than 2 hours from my house, which will be a really nice contrast to the drive for 'roo, heh.
I'm thinking about going but I've never been before so don't know what to expect. How is it compared to Bonnaroo (if such a comparison is even possible!). Does anyone know the approximate number of people that come?

im still on the fence about this one. i found a ticket on CL for 150, but in terms of getting friday off work (not likely), missing p-funk and strangefolk, its not really worth it..esp. when im trying to get friday for phish @ hartford off. even 150 seems steep when im going to miss 2 acts i wanted to go for in the first place...and i'll see moe. but we were planning on moe.down later in the summer. the location is whats got me stuck! i wanted to go to a fest on the beach so bad and its 3 hours from my house.

anyone know whatthe deal is for day ticket people. can you get close enough to hear the music or do they kick you out? il sleep in the train station if i have too but id prefer to just rage all night.

^^^ I mean, I've never been, so I don't know what the deal is? But if you don't leave the concert area, are they really gonna come in and check everyone's wristbands and kick the ones with the "<insert color here>" ones out? ???
Johnny Cornseed was an American pioneer nurseryman who introduced corn trees to large parts of the east coast. He became an American legend, largely because of his kind and generous ways, his great leadership in conservation, and the symbolic importance of corn.
So we glas been talking about Vibes and I am planning on being there Thursday evening.
I'm not much of a traveller to United States other than with my husband. I plan on leaving from Washington DC. About how far of a drive is it to Bridgeport in hours realistically? I would like to get there by Thursday when the first band goes on.
Of course this is all last minute because of a screw up with a conference I'm attending.

I mean, maybe they will, IDK, I'm just sayin'
i hear ya..i thought maybe it's on a different stage/separate entrance. dont think its likely, but would feel better if someone who's been there could confirm it.

Is anyone else as PUMPED for this as I am? I've been trying to see Levon Helm for so long and now I finally get to at a festival. And a PGroove late night set? Ohhhhhhh doctor!!
6/18: Phish in Hartford 6/25: Phish in Camden 7/2-7/4: Nateva 7/17: God Street Wine at Irving Plaza 7/23-7/25: String Cheese at Red Rocks!! 8/17-8/18: Phish at Jones Beach 9/3: Rush at PNC
This Bonnaroo lineup is in dire need of some Rush.
hrm, there are more inforooers going than i though.
roo - call me when you get there. i was thinking they might control who is there based on car parking. (i.e. lot closed, towing ensues) but if you dont have a car - then you can probably chill out all night. just a matter of sneaking you into camping, which really - cant be that hard.
gena - obv see you there.
soulmate - long drive for you!
what about cupcake?

I've been listening to the webcast all afternoon. I've been looking forward to George Clinton and P Funk, who I missed at Loki last year, but they've been having technical difficulties, and just now as I'm typing this, they're on. ;D

"Hunkered down at camp, crazy electrical storm, music cancelled for now- quite a thunder lightshow"
"Yeah WILD storm, made it back to camp just in time, WILD"
I missed a (from what i hear) RAGING TILL 4AM EPIC Lettuce latenight because of that storm But the pyrotechnics that night were INCREDIBLE! Mostly because none of them hit my campsite...
Special shoutout to all who followed my twitter tweaker all weekend, you were ALL THERE RAGING with me in spirit
There are rumors soaring all over PT that some kids drove up and just dumped the body in a rolled up tarp and left. That kinda crap is pretty scary to think about, although all the 'official' reports so far are saying it doesn't appear to be any foul play whatsoever, yet for whatever reason there are people saying they were eye witnesses to the incident and the body looked bruised and burned all over

^^^ He was found this morning right near my closest porties on the road by the baseball fields... or at least that was what i heard while on line, and all the police cars backed it up
yet for whatever reason there are people saying they were eye witnesses to the incident and the body looked bruised and burned all over
My rumor line said stabbings, none of this is cool
they found the guy in the field next to ours...lots of cops, investigators and police tape. the rumor i heard there was that he was beaten to death with a blunt object, both his legs were broken and he was burned, rolled up in a tarp and left there. hopefully this is just an effed up rumor and not true.
do you have a link to the pt thread? im just interested to see what others are saying..
thanks strum.... i had an awesome times at vibes this year, but there was definitely some sketchyness going down. maybe it was because we were basically right on shakedown, but i have never seen more balloonsand tanks at a festival before. i also heard firsthand about a pretty big operation sneaking LOTS (hundreds) of people into the campgrounds from right off the streets.

I felt the same way about AllGood this year. It was an unbelievably good time, but the sketch factor rose ten fold from last year. There were naturally some incredible people to meet there, but there are also several who I wish I hadn't had the displeasure of meeting/camping next to.
im still making my way through the PT thread and i just saw this post
i personally talked to someone this morning who was friends with the nitrous mafia, he said 2 of his friends were ripped out of their van and beaten (male and female) b/c they were enjoying a tank among friends, the 2 were still in bed recovering when i left today, there faces both beaten very badly, the man i talked to seemed like he knew what he was talking about, said it was over gas and territory, and i found it weird that after this fight happend last night they were instantly gone and no where to be found, you couldnt miss the main guy running it, fat 20 something screaming calling everyone faggots, spitting on woman, it was absolutly disgusting
the guy that this person was talking about was right on the end of our camping row. luckily we were on the other side. he was yelling obsenities at everyone and calling everyone names... and it wasn't jokingly at all.. he sounded like a very angry person. I had to go by there every time i went to the bathroom and started taking different routes to avoid him and his group.

yeah, i really hate to admit it because its my home festival and i really had a great time overall... but the sketchyness just sucked. im reading all sorts of reviews and people don't really have very many positive things to say about the festival this year at all....it bums me out... and i really hope this murder rumor isn't true. i just dont want to see this festival go downhill after 14 years.
