Maybe. Maybe not. I think they announced the dates around this time last year too, if memory serves. It's not exactly a big surprise though - I mean, Father's Day weekend, wow! Who'd have thunk it?
I was kind of hoping it WOULD be father's day weekend so I could celebrate my birthday at Bonnaroo, but the 11th-14th works, too.
And so that we could take your dad. He'd have a blast. ;D
This is the best news for me! Although I am relatively young I still get to enjoy fathers day with my kids! Now if I can only get my dad to go with me!
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"

Oh wow, I was mistaken. Well, that's good. At least this year I get to spend some quality time with the old man and not feel guilty by saying "let's just do something special next weekend and pretend it's Father's Day".
Aaaaaaand... I don't have to worry about saving enough cell phone battery to last until Sunday, either.

nth-ing the "i'm glad bonnaroo's not on father's day" sentiment. i ended up taking him out to dinner the monday right after roo. terrible idea, of course. i was definitely still, uhh, recovering.
I got in a huge argument with my Dad the week I left for Roo and have not spoken to him since! He sent me a text on thanksgiving so maybe since Roo is not on Father's Day I may take him to lunch next year. Who knows!

My dad always made this HUGE deal about how he DID NOT want to hear from me that weekend, or if he did, "It had BETTER be life or death" He said his present was to know that I was having an awesome time without him
