Well this little club in Oxford, MS is starting to attract some pretty big bands. Coming up this February they have some huge acts coming to town.
February 3rd- Yonder Mountain String Band February 4th- Disco Biscuits February 5th- Dark Star Orchestra February 6th- Citizen Cope February 14th- Girl Talk
February is going to be a very expensive month for me! Well more likely a very expensive 2 weeks! Anyone living near here in Memphis or surrounding areas it will be worth the trip down!
I'm in NOLA, and a few of these bands are making their way through LA. Citizen Cope is coming to BR in early Feb. I was really hoping for Bisco to come to LA, but no luck there. That is by far my biggest disappointment.
Yonder Mountain will also be in NOLA in early Feb. I think I'll hit up Citizen Cope, but most likely not Yonder Mountain. It's a Thursday night, and I'm sure I'll be working......
I want to go - plus that's on mone and Boz's anniversary - but I doubt that we could get our hands on tickets - I wanted to go see Girltalk in Baton Rouge but was glad I did not make the trip - from what I hear - there were no tickets left
Those are some good shows. I'm seeing AC/DC, Galactic, & Umphrey's McGee in Jan-March in Memphis. Also considering the North MS Allstars New Years' Eve show at the Orpheum. Plus we have Ryan Adams & the Cardinals and Dirty Dozen Brass Band coming to town too. So, yeah, this whole area has some really good shows coming to town. And, oh yeah, Cheech & Chong are playing Horeshoe Casino in Feb. I want to go but tix are $60, so we'll see.

Correct...
Show started at 10, they started selling whatever tickets they had left at 8. I showed up at 6:45, and waited the whole time, only to be 6 people short of getting a ticket. Needless to say, I was extremely bummed. Be very glad you didn't make the trip.
More shows just added in Memphis: Drive-By Truckers on Friday 2/27 @ New Daisy, Don Caballero on Thursday 2/5 @ Hi-Tone, & Lotus on Thursday 2/19 @ Minglewood Hall.
