Yeah I just think that the comparison and what does it mean for threads as well. But I am not a mod so who knows.
I think that the Flaming Lips are a possibility for Bonnaroo, and David Cross considering last year. I have never heard of anyone else on that list actually.
Suicide would be AWESOME... seriously doubt they'd be welcome at the Farm, however; don't think clanky, violent, industrial sounding post-punk would get over too well at Roo.
Atlas Sound I could easily see at Roo. David Cross, of course. And Animal Collective would be welcome, I'm sure, though I'm not a fan.
I could really see Atlas Sound being here. My money's on that.
Animal Collective and Panda Bear would be awesome at Bonnaroo. Animal Collective as Thursday night headliners and Panda Bear as a late night Friday? Or a daytime tent show would work too...

I think the Flaming Lips are somewhat of a safe bet - considering they didn't play last year - using the every other year paradigm - they are about as standard of a 'Roo act as anyone.

They have played 'roo twice. Galactic plays almost every year (managed by Superfly). Robert Randolph and Keller tend to play every other year. I would like to see them I have never seen a show, but they really aren't one of the perennial acts at Bonnaroo.

Having seen Animal Collective at two festivals this year (Pitchfork, All Points West), I gotta say, they MUST be a late night set. They're after-dark Pitchfork headlining set was incredible, albeit, a bit too short. The light show is nuts, and the atmosphere at night is wonderful, whereas their early afternoon slot at APW was lacking the magic. I think they will be there this year, and I think they'll most certainly be a late night.

i'd be totally down with a midnight/1 am animal collective set. i'd be there of course, unless roo is mean and books them alongside an amazing electronic act.
no to mention that they'd totally blow the minds of some chemically enhanced people that happen to wander over to their stage.

Oh... They played 2 of the 4 years I have been - for some reason I thought they had played at some of the first 3 festivals... I think that may be due to an tiny interview with Wanye Coyne I read in Maxium prior to 2007's festival entitled "Bonnaroo Survival Guide" or something like that...
