my friends brought me to roo, period. I didnt go to Bonnaroo because i wanted to hear music, i went to Bonnaroo because it was almost all of my friends favorite place on earth, and i hadnt been there with them yet. Now i have, ive been to Bonnaroo, if you dont think i have, i have the bobblehead to prove it ;D
custie = customer. you went, you paid money for ticket, food, souveniers etc and left having given more money to the fest than you made from it.
I think if you did know me it might be a little different, but thats fine as well. Bottom line is though when you insult the entire Bonnaroo community I am part of that community and thereby feel insulted by you.
well i can assure you that if you knew me you would have a far different opinion of me. but your assuming i have this negative opinion of you. i dont. and i dint insult the entire roo crew. i said most of the. its just a fact. but if your posting on internet boards full of hardcore fans and going to other fest like all good then chances are you in that 1 or 2 percent that i talk about. there is still some good music at roo. i wish i had seen bisco and wsp and phil. some people still go for that. but being rabid enough to be on inforoo and other boards probably takes you out of the group of custies that heard about it on the radio and mtv and come for kanye or metallica. once again im being taken way too seriously.

^^^That's exactly the point trying to be made here. Just because you're called a custie on the internet by somebody you've probably never met before, does not have and reflection or indication as to what kind of person you are at all. I thought that was a general assumption before entering an online festie message board

bc people on this board take everything way too seriously. because 'bunking a custy' is an ongoing joke all over the internet/jamband world...for many different reasons.. but really...everyone needs to takea chill pill, ill start handing them out, get in line ;D
Well I am out of this to hot for me. I will say I think I would rather be in the 98% I love 98% of the people I meet at Bonnaroo, and 2% are busy trying to rip me off with fake drugs , so I am gonna stay in the majority.

i do buy tickets. i figure thats my contribution to the bands. although i must admit im an occasional spicy pie customer other then that i buy all my food in the lot. i buy all of my souveniers on the lot. i download all my live roo. never buy from them. i dont own an offical roo shirt. lots of bootlegs though. and if you think that i would pay roo prices for anything on "shakedown" your out of your mind. the same vendors will be at other fests selling the same stuff for half as much. this is why they need "custies" and have the kanye crap on the lineup. festie people dont spend money in the same way that the custies do. superfly dosent make money off of the hippies. they take care of eachother. superfly makes money off the people on vacation with hundereds of dollars to buy that 30 dollar tie dye, the 10 dollar burrito, and the pay showers. the hippies just want to get some party favors, eat a couple grilled cheeses or headie spaghetti from the lot, and have enough money to make it to the next show. superfly dosent make shit off that

The way I look at it if you went and had a good time then you were at Roo. What made Roo so great for Dude might not be what makes Roo so great for you or me and vice versa. Different strokes for different folks..

not to go on and on about this awful topic, but im in a bit of a confrontational spree after my last trip out to western Massachusetts. If someone is making me uncomfortable i feel i have an obligation to let them know, how else will they?
and i went to Bonnaroo, aka a good time, and had a bonnaroo, aka a good time. thats all i need to know for myself, but i still got nothing better to do at this time than to post so that i will!

and if your comfort can be affected by discussing roo and phish on a message board you may want to take a long hard look at what your basing your comfort level on. this is all pretty unimportant. if i have made you uncomfortable at your computer in your home from an undisclosed far away location with nothing more then typed words i apologize. it was not my intent.

you bug me because you seem so determined to convince me and others in my situation that we have never experienced Bonnaroo. I read your post before you edited it, and its becoming increasingly obvious that you are trying to aggravate someone. The edit you made is much more hostile than the original post.
And if you want everyone else to not take you so serious, then stop taking your self so seriously.
