I'm only a moderate fan of Phish but something that bad ass gets me excited to see them. If they do everything in such a big way I'm psyched for their live show.

I have seen a few pictures of this from different angles and such - I think it was being filmed for a promotional video for phish.com - like the one they did for the Hampton announcement.
The Skytypers are a squadron of airplanes that serve as your ambassador to millions of consumers annually by "SKYTYPING" your website or promotional messages in the sky.
We have domestic operating units in California and New York with services anywhere in the US. We have also expanded our services into the European Market, Japan, and South Africa.
The Skytypers travel to air- shows all over the United States and Canada, demonstrating their precision flying and Skytyping abilities to millions of people each year.
The Skytyping process utilizes five airplanes that fly abreast, 250-feet apart and "type" up to 30 character messages in a dot-matrix-like pattern. When Skytyping, the airplanes create messages in the sky that are 5 miles long, as tall as the Empire State Building and can be seen for 15 miles in any direction or nearly 400 square miles.

Where are the reports coming from? News? Website? Hearsay?
Just curious where you found these pics and reports.
"I heard this from a very legitimate source. Apparently the web-developer is a man of the nocturnal persuasion and will have it done between 4 and 5 AM. So please do not go to sleep, leave your computer, or have a life until tomorrow. Call in sick if you have to."

While I cannot confirm that this happened today due to me being in Malibu all day. BUT, I have seen these "Skytypers" at work quite often. Almost every time I went to the beach this summer in Santa Monica they were there doing something.
So I don't doubt that this happened. Furthermore, if anyone know the general area in LA that this supposedly occurred, I can surely ask around tomorrow at work.
Heres to hoping for a sick west coast run + Bonnaaaaroooooo! ;D ;D ;D
