2 headlinersand a latenight would be sweet though.
I wonder if Phish plays a late night who they will have against them for the other late nights. I mean who would want to be playing against a Phish late night set?
I mean who would want to be playing against a Phish late night set?
That's why I think they would have them close out Sunday night. That way Phish can play just about as long as they want to and the people that aren't die hard phish fans can go home without a lot of traffic.

For some reason I have these recollections of Widespread playing well past 1 am in 07... am I imagining this?
Either way I'm fully expecting two nights of Phish and one day/night of phishy guest appearances at other shows on the farm. It'll be like having 4 JPJ's there from 07... everyone will want them on stage with them if possible
i hope they have a customized tshirt that has something like "Phisharoo" on it similar to how metallica had their own customized peace love metalliroo tshirts. i want to show everyone yeah i went to phisharoo

I remember the show you are talking about quite well. Panic went over about 15 minutes. It may seem like they played longer b\c they did not take a set break (very un-Panic like). It may have propelled them as late as 12:45, but no later.
Phish wouldnt have to headline 3 nights. If you know Phish, you know they like to play during the day as much as the night. Soooooo,
1) Day set 2) Late night set 3) Headlining set 4)Melted faces and noobs set on fire 5)Epic
I'm in. Phish during the day is an experience in and of itself. That's where you put the Divided Sky (with actual dividing sky if you're doing it right).

Prepare the patchouli: Phish announces tour (sorry, L.A.). Bonnaroo next? 01:13 PM PT, Jan 8 2009 Calling all Phish fans who have been spinning their wheels of late following Widespread Panic and moe.: Your leaders have returned. After a five-year hiatus from touring, Phish will take to the road after a March reunion performance in Hampton, Va.
But the bummer continues for any, ahem, "phans" residing west of the Mississippi: St. Louis, Mo., is as far west as the band is traveling this summer, and questions to the band's publicist about possible plans for a second leg were met with a curt, "The press release contains all confirmed information."
So, pack up the Subaru if you want to be on the safe side, left coasters -- it's not like the hardcore fans are averse to such road trips, anyway. And hey, you can even stop in Branson on the way back for a real hallucinogenic experience.
But there may be a nugget of hope buried among the tour dates for those who want to get the most bang for their concert dollar. There's a curious series of open dates on Phish's itinerary between June 9 and 16, coincidentally the scheduled dates for Bonnaroo 2009 (a hot, yet still unconfirmed rumor Rolling Stone reported back in December). Let the speculation "run like an antelope."
Phish fans and Dead fans are insane. If Phish and the Dead are playing then the roo sells out in less then a week. Phish's comeback shows had over 150,000 request. Prepare yourself for the madness. The Dead is pretty much the same. There are few bands that have a die hard following as Phish. GET YOUR TIX!
Also, Phish does their own festival and draws 80K. Add in 149 other great bands and there is your quick sell out.
Yeah, but a lot of Phish fans claim to hate the Roo (for some stupid arbitrary reason). We'll see. I'm in, so what do I care?
Those 149 other bands don't deserve breathe the same air as Trey, nevermind play the same stage. And all those people who like other bands shouldn't have the privelege of seeing Phish. It should be reserve for true Phans, not bonnaroo d-bags.
So, will a sell out happen immediately? The last three years I waited until I got my tax refund to get my ticket, but this year is sounding like an urgent year. WIll I have to buy my ticket as soon as they go on sale, or can I wait it out a little?
If I do make it there and Phish is playing, I am going to have some pretty sweet spots for the late-nights.

Is that your real name, or are you just a big fan of the former Dolphins quarterback?

I wouldn't take any chances. I think there's a good chance of it selling out if Phish is on the lineup....but that's just my opinion.
Ok, here is a question...Since Phish is probably *is* going to be there, Do you think they will sell more tickets? I think if my memory serves me correctly that the attendance has been down/the amount of tickets that they are selling has gone down since 05'? Any thoughts?

Last year I was able to get super close for a mind blowing show put on by Ghostland Observatory, because so many people were waiting around to see Kanye. I can only imagine all the cool stuff I'll get to do when Phish is playing! Don't get me wrong I have nothing against Phish, I guess I just never REALLLLLLY got into them... I am very excited for a chance to see them, but I doubt I'll be a 24/7 slave.
I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst thru the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high.

well it depends on how you look at it. because my brother and i got hampton ticks, and will prob most likely hit up jones beach and camden, phish playing roo (even tho its gonna be epic) isnt going to make me buy a ticket... however for the people who didnt get hampton ticks, and for those who live really close to roo, or who are die hards....yeah this will make them buy a ticket... im really happy for everyone that will get to see phish this summer tho ;D, no matter where it is. damn there is just so much good music happening right now, its really hard for me to wrap my head around. what an awesome problem to have

Its ok man, you weren't hallucinating(or were) , but anyways... Panic played till almost 1:30 in 07 cause I got back to camp at 1:50-ish and my buddy was pissed because apparently we were supposed to leave at 12 and it was apparently alot later than that... imagine that....time is actually relevant in Bonnaroo
