that video is fucking awesome. the kid in tye - dye has the best look on his face at the end when his stick gets taken away... "wha? he took my stick... did he take your stick? oh well" boom boom boomboom boom
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."
yep and with Phish there, there is no excuse not to go!
I just booked my flight to Jones Beach and Great Woods!! I'm so glad I have Roo tix already. Planning to do 9 shows this summer, it helps to have 2 of those shows already locked in and paid for. I mail ordered the whole tour. If they fill the whole order, it will be difficult to convince myself to skip Camden, Asheville and Star Lake.
Where does he read this stuff? from people who have never been to Roo?? "I have read everyone’s posts about the misery of the festival– the crowds, the heat, the cops, and the corporate rape"
Yes the heat sucks but welcome to TN in June, be thankful it isn't in August!! The rest I dont get - the crowds are there no matter what festival.
The heat will be there (after a cold ass winter in New England, prolonged exposure to the sun is one of the things I look forward to most). The crowds remark is just dumb. The cops, lets just say i wasnt looking over my shoulder the whole weekend. Corporate rape, you're in America. F'n deal with it. If you would skip a festival because it has corporate sponsors help improve the experience of the fans, get off the internet because apple and microsoft are 2 of the biggest corporations in america. Without them, and the contributions they've made to society over the past 25 years, you wouldn't have a message board to btch on. Which has corporate advertisements all over it.
To all of these "phans", get off your high horse. You're not a music connoiseur or elitist bc you only listen to Phish. You're ignorant and closed-minded which is the opposite of everything Phish stands for. They are playing roo because they are tired of playing for you sniveling babies, and would like to play in front of fans of Music for once.
You should follow Phish's lead and check out Bonnaroo. You might learn something. If not, good riddance. We'll watch your favorite band drop two of their most epic sets ever and nobody will miss you one bit.
props'n a half bro. couldnt have said it any better myself. The post is from a Phish board. There is a (common) breed of Phan that considers all non-Phish music an insult to their ears. They vomit in their mouths at the thought of Phish playing the stage as the pre-headliners that come before them, and at the thought having to watch Phish with lay people who (gasp) listen to music besides Phish.

So they are effing idiots. That subset of Phish Phans can stay far away from Bonnaroo.
i think it is third eye blind since they have an album coming out this month and they are from the western san fran bay area. if this was already mentioned i am sorry but 45 pages is alot
You think Phish is third eye blind?

i will see you at great woods then! sweet!
Great Woods is gonna be some good times. currently have plans in the mix for alpine valley... and if my friend decides to do it with me im gonna make him do deer creek on the way lol. also another friend of mine wants to do burgettstown. hmm. we'll see. how sweet of a month would that be. Great Woods-> Bonnaroo -> Deer Creek -> Alpine Valley.
and yes on a more depressing note there are some phisheads who only listen to phish. it's a very easy hole to slip into when phish has so much content to absorb. and i dont have a problem with anyone who listens to only phish all the time. just remember for those of you who fall among this category that there is SO much more music out there to discover. hopefully bonnaroo will help these people on there musical adventure. my absolute favorite part of bonnaroo is being able to experience an amazing band for the first time that you've never even heard of and to be absolutely blown away by the. i remember going to see the Duo one year just cause i wanted to see Mike Gordon but what i got instead of the fulfillment of seeing mike up close was the discovery of one of the coolest bands i've ever seen. and i remember walking away from Roo that year thinking to myself wow the Duo is one impressive band (not caring whatsoever that mike was with them)....

"You're either on the bus or off the bus." Ken Kesey
"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." Hunter S. Thompson
It's more hating all music that isn't Phish. It seems there are quite a few on the Phish boards. I'd guess thoses Phish Phans are a small but vocal minority.
