Ahhhhh, jealousy. I fell off the band wagon for a while working two full time jobs and going to school and the other day I was in class and had on my Tweezer shirt and this guy was like "I bet you're real excited about that Bonnaroo and their reunion shows" and I flipped out and skipped the rest of my classes to come home and get the down low.
I would sell some body parts to make it to any of the other shows.

no school for me this semester, just the two jobs.
the only request for time off I put in was July 2-7th so far. Lol, none of the dates for Phish are even during that time. Its going to be interesting to see if i can get all the time i need off/can afford it

I feel ya. I'm using part of my tax refund for Roo and the left overs for some local shows. One of my bosses is already totally cool with me taking time off, the other..... well he may just have to go fuck himself =)
I'm finishing out the Spring semester and then the summer is mine all mine!

I know, right? It took me a second to realize what was going on and then I FREAKED.... now I think everyone in that class looks at me a little differently hehe.
Makes me sad though because Roo is probably the only show I'll make it to. Given more time to prepare I probably could have at least caught one other
Oh well, I think Roo will probably be enough! Yay! Everytime I think about it I get a little more excited.
I was driving around all night tonight at work compiling different setlists in my head. I think I would be happy with just about anything.
Though, a First Tube firework extravaganza would probably make my head explode, so I hope if that happens, it happens toward the end of their set

Wow. I can't believe the internets. This was my second Phish show, and my third ever...um...experience. I had to be standing RIGHT NEXT to whoever recorded this. I never imagined I would be able to watch video of it 13 years later.
I've probably listened to this YEM more than any other and its a classic. This isn't the best sound quality (this whole show is pretty great and worth getting a good version of).
Highlights include: The little rhythm figure Trey introduces at abut 5:20 of Pt. 2 and then brings back at 4:40 of part 3. The silent jam at the end of Pt 3 seriously messed with my mind. After "listening" to it a million times, its so cool to see it for the second time! Trey basically reprises the first set Chalkdust at the return from the silent jam. Yes, there is a Beavis and Butthead talking keychain involved in this song, and yes, that blew my mind at the time.
YEM is probably my favorite song to see live period, and this is a video of my definitive experience with it which had to have been shot within 100 feet of me 13 years ago. Good times.
was listening to a show today and realized were definitely getting a Jesus Just Left Chicago!!!
"Jesus just left chicago and hes bound for new orleans. Well now, jesus just left chicago and hes bound for new orleans. Yeah, yeah. Workin from one end to the other and all points in between.
Took a jump through mississippi, well, muddy water turned to wine. Took a jump through mississippi, muddy water turned to wine. Yeah, yeah. Then out to california through the forests and the pines. Ah, take me with you, jesus.
You might not see him in person but hell se you just the same. You might not see him in person but hell se you just the same. Yeah, yeah. You dont have to worry cause takin care of business is his name."
