^ I guess so. And by the way those were not the Phish shows of the decade. The phish shows of the decade are: 6/12/09 and 6/14/09 and little ms "I dont know mike gordons name' will be in Virginia somewhere. So take pleasure in that.
bonnaroo will be awesome but nothing will ever feel like the hampton weekend again. you had to be there to understand.
^Was it your first show? A lot of people saw them for the first time last week, and the first Phish show is always a magnificent memory. If they play an epic 5-6 hour late night set though at Bonnaroo I expect it to blow my pants off in a way they have not been able to do in a long time.

on this topic, who is your favorite member of Phish?
im a big fan of the keys so im gonna go with Page.
This is like picking a favorite among your children. Not something you should do. But I have to go with Mr. Gordon. I just love his bass playing and his album with Leo Kottke.

Ok, here's a question: Why does Trey say "play it Leo!" before some of Page's solos? I know the one show I saw in Worcester, they actually brought out Leo Kotke, and Trey said "Play it Leo....Kotke.' But what about the other times?
Leo: Trey often yells "Play it LEOOOOOOOOOOO!" just before the big keys jam. (Fishman also joins in, e.g. "Go Leo go!" at 12-6-97. As Andrew Van Alstyne posted (8/23/97), Leo is yelled in other songs as well, including Harpua and NICU. And Mike yelled that same line to Leo Kottke during his Fall 2002 tour, when the duo covered "Yamar". And at 2/28/03, Trey yelled "Play it Leo... Kottke".
Cassius posted (8/23/97) that, "Leo was (is?) the keyboard player for the Mustangs the caribean band responsible for the tune Ya Mar. Apparently on the recording the band had, during the keyboard break the band encourages Leo to get down. Thus Trey copies the Mustangs and Leo became another name for Page. Now [can anyone explain] the whole Ya Mar incident from 8-24-93, something about Mike 'rectifying' fingers"?
Similars: Mark Toscano reported (2/24/99), "listening to a dub CD by Mad Professor called The Lost Scrolls of Moses, and track #11 'Bugle SocA' is basically Ya Mar, dub-style!""
^^^ there you go you beat me to it Jess with quote and all I was just going to explain it myself but that is better. I am not going to pick a fav. either but I agree with you Jess Trey's solo stuff did not do it for me really just bored me but with Phish he is a monster and seldom boors. Just stay on the guitar and don't mess around with your little Casio thing-y and please keep the monotonous space sound ( you guys know the wweeeeeyoooo. weeeeeeyooooo, wweeeeyooooo) to a minimum.

So, is it just me, or did Roo make it seem like they will play 2 sets late night on friday?
"Congratulations to Phish and their crew for an incredible reunion last weekend in Hampton. Visit the Bonnaroo message board to discuss these shows and their upcoming tour, including two very special sets on Friday and Sunday nights at Bonnaroo 2009!"
Sunday night was the greatest thing I have ever seen. I keep thinking back to the night, listening to the set, and looking at the pictures/videos of the show. Something happened that night. Call it a planetary shift, or what have you... but I'm convinced that my life is better now after seeing Phish. Never before has a band brought tears of pure joy to my eyes just by doing what the do.
Strum, I couldn't have said it better myself. I'm sure Sam, Becca, and Ali would agree. Life changing no doubt. ;D

me? it definately was not. it will be awesome if they play til sunup but these hampton shows were special. it was the reunion. the whole weekend had a very special feel to it like you were just lucky to be there. bonnaroo will be awesome but not the same.
I was at Hampton and I didn't even know who was playing. I was so spunions brah that I didn't even make it past the lot two out of the three nights. I heard that Trey Fishman was ripping it though.
Maybe if you weren't so serious all the time people wouldn't call you elitist. It's a band, it's teh interwebs. No need for anyone to be getting so much sand in their fish taco.
See, once again you're getting all snarky. And that's your problem - any time a thead comes up where someone happens to discuss something that doesn't conform with your view of Phish as the greatest band ever, you basically get all sandy. And this is coming from a Phish fan - I think they're great.
Have a sense of humor about life.
please tell me all these times I've gotten all snarky over someone saying they didn't like phish.
I've always said that not liking Phish is alright, they're an acquired taste. not everyone is into them.
I have plenty of a sense of humor. I also have opinions, which apparently to you means I have a sandy vagina.

Well I was not there for the vibe, just from a musical standpoint, while they were better than they had been for quite awhile there is room for improvement, and I have every expectation that they will do so.
you people are crazy. phish just played there reunion shows and suddenly this thread has taken a turn into negative territories. can't we all just get along?
and in the mean time. ladies and gentlemen, mr. conway twitty

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ agreed I am also a huge fan but realise that the sun and moon do not revolve around what Phish does. A sense of humor is indeed all that is needed, don't take yourself or the band so fricking seriously. I mean really brah just toke on some narly headies, with your hoodie, screw the custies and there benzies. Oh and anyone seen my girlfriend, Molly? Its all in good fun Terrapin and hey no one thinks your a prick........to respond to a prior post of yours about being an "elitist prick"
