My friend Ashley, 2 year Roo vet and second from the left in this pic died yesterday. She got hit by a car crossing the street and didnt make it. She was one of my 4 best friend and basically a sister. Im still pinching myself, but its real. We had great memories not only at the farm, but for the last 9 years of my life.
a friend of mine who went to my first roo (i got him to go) died in a car accident about two years ago. it doesnt sound like i was as close to him as you were with your friend, but it's just so shocking when it happens.

Age 24, of Wilmington, DE, died in the pre-dawn hours of Tuesday, December 16, 2008, with her parents by her side. Ashley took her last breath after sustaining serious injuries from being struck by a car the previous evening.
Anyone who knew Ashley knows that she packed 60 years of living into 24 years of life. She was funny, smart, vivacious, sentimental and full of love. Her beautiful smile would light up any room. Ashley loved people, music, animals and living life to the fullest. Her passion for music spanned from Joss Stone to Frank Sinatra to Kanye West; she could always be found with a mix CD that would suit any occasion. Ashley enjoyed spending time with her incredibly eclectic group of friends. She was just as much at ease with bohemians as she was with business people. She was a joy to all who knew her and she will be missed more than words can describe.
Ashley is survived by her parents, Donna and Jack Marshall of Wilmington, DE; her brother, Matthew Marshall of Wilmington, DE; her grandparents, Leo and Maria Vadala of Elkton, MD, and Jack and Muriel Marshall of Scottsville, VA; her aunt and uncle, Valerie Vadala and Stephen Fromhart, of Brooklyn, NY and her 4 cousins, Esmé and Elise Fromhart, of Brooklyn, NY and Zachary Marshall of Cary, NC and Kayla Marshall of Chapel Hill, NC. Ashley is also survived by her beloved cat, Princess Spaghetti Superpants (Skets), of Dewey Beach, DE.
A celebration of Ashley's life will be held on Sunday, December 21, at the Deerfield Golf & Tennis Club, 507 Thompson Station Road, Newark, DE from 2-4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Drive, Wilmington, DE 19804.
Remember though, in death we must all stay strong and continue to live life. Otherwise, death has taken your heart as well as her soul. Live on my friend, bumps in the road may seem like roadblocks, but they are just obstacles that lead you to different walks of life.
