I would be surprised if TV on the Radio didn't show up. Their last album was really good (family tree is one of my favorite songs of the year.) The Walkmen would also be pretty cool to have on the farm.
Man, I would love to have MMJ and The Raconteurs back. Both albums were also two of my favorites of 2008. And I second the Kings of Leon request.
Both MMJ's and The Raconteurs albums were under rated in my opinion, The Raconteurs especially I think by the end of the year a lot of people forgot about it but listening to it again reveals a very solid record.. Oh yea and Kings of Leon for me too, I had tickets to the show in Toronto but I had to sell them, seeing that at the farm would be sweet.

Yeah they were underated. Spin's top 40 of '08 listed The Raconteurs at 35, which IMO, is crapola. It is in my top 10. I mean, come on...Duffy is above Deathcab and Raconteurs. Sorry to any Duffy fans on inforoo but that chick just annoys the poop outta me! MMJ is at 16 but I would have put them higher.

From those lists, I'm thinking these bands would go over well at Bonnaroo:
Bon Iver Fleet Foxes TV on the Radio Why? Devendra Banhart John Browns Body Black Keys Bloc Party Saul Williams Randy Newman AA Bondy Walkmen Okkervil River Hem Kate Nash Crystal Castles Nick Cave
^ (to my own post) aaaaand i just read on the confirmation page that portugal the man is confirmed for 09. i think these lists of top cds will serve us well. every time we get a confirmation we should check here to see if it was listed.
Yes I bought their album when it came out and gave it a few listens and kind of threw it aside. But I noticed it stashed somewhere and gave it another, and another listen. Just a really good album, Psychotic Girl is just a ridiculous track with the laid back blues riff running through it, one of my favorite albums of 08.

YES! Psychotic Girl is a great song, and a real departure from what a lot of their songs sound like. You can really hear the influence Danger Mouse has over the whole album.

i would be interested in seeing what dan auerbach does as a solo artist. however its my hope that we can get the black keys set and then give dan a solo set as well.
copy and pasted this from another thread i posted in but i thought it'd look good here too instead of crowding boards with another thread thatd probably die in less than a week

Honestly, I almost feel embarassed to say how good I think Consolers of the Lonely is. I feel like I will be flamed and/or sent to a mental institute. I'll be cautious and say top 5 of the 00's
if we're talking about the same list here that was skewed by a bunch of people voting panic at the disco overwhelmingly in first place and thus ruining any sort of credibility to the list then i'm gonna have to disagree with you.
