I don't think they really would be that great latenight. Then again, I don't think they'd be very good in the heat of the day either. Hm, I do think they need to be at roo though, because they are a good band. My personal favorite, and I think it would be a badass song latenight, is Closer. The sound of that song is awesome. Also Cold Dessert, especially after seeing that youtube video about how Calib was blacked out when they recorded it...pretty ridiculous.

Kings of Leon is one of those bands that I don't think would be any different late night than in an afternoon slot. Sure, every band could be "better" late night because latenight shows in general are way more badass, but I don't see anything in particular that would make KoL a great late night show. I mean, they hardly move around on stage (atleast from my experiences with them), they don't have any spontaneous jams to go all night, and there's absolutely no crowd interaction (again, just from my experiences)
If they do go back to the farm, I really hope they are not on the main stage either. That stage is just too big for them I think. Maybe the Which Stage, or I think preferably the Other Tent would suit them better

i hate to say it, but i basically agree here..... i don't think they should play in a tent, but i don't think they should do a latenight.... i like'em on the mainstage as a preheadliner or something
i still can't believe they headlined Glastonbury with JayZ..... i think it would be, um, awkward to be like, "yeah, we know you headlined Glasto, but we want you to play in the parking lot at a festival that is in your own backyard..."..... so i don't know what to do with'em except put'em on the mainstage in the hot, hot heat....
but like i said, i basically agree with everything Strum said... and i've seen the Kangs MANY times....

They're a nay for me. I saw them twice at Bowery Ballroom in NYC -- right around Y&YM and then a few months before Aha was released when they were debuting those songs. Both decent shows, but definitely not a lot going on besides rigidly tight reditions of the songs and all the dudes more or less standing in place.
Which is why I'm kind of baffled by their recent ascendency to arena-rock gods / Lollapalooza headliners. Their music isn't bad but their show is (or at least was) a major charisma vacuum.
