Sorry I didn't get around to post the poll last week. I will post the Velvet Underground one next week. This weeks poll will be our NYE edition staring My Morning Jacket. Since they only have five full length studio albums, I am only allowing only one vote per person. Have fun and have a Happy NYE!

It Still Moves. IMO that album had the perfect blend of folk and rock, the ones before it being a little too minimalistic and the ones after getting progressively too rockin'. Plenty of beautiful melodies, but a lot of great hard driving riffs also, like on Run Thru, probably my favorite MMJ song. Then of course One Big Holiday, the song that made me stop at their 05' show when i was walking by, love the intro to it.
It Still Moves. Very, very solid album, and (IMO) their only really good album. Great band, don't get me wrong, I just really cannot get into any of their other albums... especially the last two.

Brutally tough call but my vote has to go to at dawn, one of the most perfect albums from start to finish these ears have ever heard. Keeping my fingers crossed for an honest man at msg.

It's a tossup for me between At Dawn and Z. And now that I think about it, that's just weird considering how vastly different the two albums are. I think my final vote has to be At Dawn. It's just overall a tad bit better from start to finish. I think Z has better high points to it though...

I am honestly pretty surprised that Z is leading at this point. I agree with porvida that Z is their 4th best album. Has some good songs on it, but not a great album imo.

I favor Z more than the others just because it was the album that got me turned on to them. I had seen them a couple years before and even mildly gave them a listen, but Z won me over. It Still Moves would be my second choice because it is such a balanced album.

it still moves, i remember seeing them play "one big holiday" on conan and i bought it the next day. So good. Okonokos is more of a testament to what they are capable of as a band though imo.
"Love need not be a command nor faith a dictum. I am my own god. We are here to unlearn the teachings of the church, state, and our educational system. We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us." — Charles Bukowski
Also, they really need to release another live one this coming year, maybe one of the big show tomorrow night?
I was kind of expecting them to release their Radio City show on DVD, but I'm thinking that this might be one to release instead. I sure hope so! I think I would pay $50 just for that DVD!
I say that and I haven't even seen a setlist or heard the show or anything. That's how fucking incredible these guys are
I absolutely cannot choose right now. I'll come vote later.. if I can decide!!!!
Edit: Actually, I think I'm going to give The Tennessee Fire some love. Honestly, my favorite album changes almost daily, but I've really been into this one lately.

At Dawn, I always favored it, x-mas curtain, phone went west, strangulation, the way that he sings are amazing songs (I would love to see Strangulation live) then a week ago I bought it on vinyl and it brought me over the top on it.
^I would also love to see strangulation live. I just ordered the acoustic chorale dvd from ebay and I think that's about the closest I'm going to get for a while.
