Yeah, glow sticks are a must have and for some reason it's really hard to find good ones. I've bought glow sticks that can be connected into a ball and that was really cool. Wish I could find those again

Do they allow glow sticks in centeroo? I brought them in for Flips in '07, but stashed em not knowing if they would take em. As for places to buy them, I bought mine from Glow Granny.

and there was one guy who tried to say i couldnt take them in. but i told him that he couldnt have them because they were 30 bucks and re chargeable. and he just let me through. the other people just didnt even ask any questions about them.
although, one night, my glowstick skirt is making a comeback... now what band would make that ephort worthwhile.. ? i guess i'll phigure it out when i see the schedule.
Last year we had a really hard time brining in glow that we were wearing. This relaly sucked. There were like 12 of us and we had nothing that could be sold or thought of as anything other than personal use. However, we were all made to strip our glow or go back to camping. We did not understand the "why" to the "rule". Plus, we were really confused when safety was brought up and we pointed out that vendors inside of roo were selling the same items.
As the fest has grown common sense seems to be in short supply. Don't even ask me to tell you the story about why i could not bring a hammer into roo to pound in tent stakes. (someone on ACID might come to your camp and steal your hammer and then run around killing people. Yes, that is what I was told at the third level of supervison. When asked if the RV's were being forced to give up knives I was faced with a blank stare. Eventually, a true Deputy allowed me to take in my hammer if I promised not to tell and lock it up after I'd placed my tent steaks. )
Bottom line. Glow good. Don't make it visiable as you go through a gate. Hope that common sense becomes a basis for staff to make decisions.

After eating some fungus I ventured towards centeroo with my camelbak and nothing else to see Sigur Ros. I had my hoodie over my head at the time, I'm convinced this made the security look deeper into my camelbak. Anyway, they found a sealed bag of glowstick connectors. I had no idea they were in my bag. So when they asked what the connectors were all I could say was "I don't know." All I was concerned about was getting to That Tent as soon as possible. A bulldog security person started freaking out and was looking through my camelbak for more no-no's. At this point people behind me were yelling "LET HIM THROUGH!11!" The guy who originally searched my bag asked again "come on man, what is this? It's not weed I can't just let you through." Then I looked closely and realized it was only glowstick connectors and explained to him what they were. He apologized and quickly retrieved my bag for me and let me in.
When you are buying glowsticks, look out for things like "high intensity" in the description. I got high intensity glowsticks by accident once. They are brighter than regular ones, but they only last about two hours. Regular glowsticks are supposed to last 8-10 hours.
